During the transition from old company to new company, the "old" No Fear accepted my $1300 payment for new gear, etc......a week later when nothing showed up, I contacted them and was told that I needed to take that up with the "old" No Fear and the "new" No Fear could not help!!!
We dealt with No Fear for 12 years, the only gear we used.....and they treated us like shit! I burned every No Fear set of gear, shirts, jackets, hats....never been so frustrated.
I would NEVER consider No Fear or Alias.
Could you not have sold the inventory you had rather than burn?
I think it still looks pretty damn good too.

I was very mad....I did not want anything with No Fear logo.
It was no longer about the money and more about the principal.
The economic crash killed sales of moto products and clothing, and the company's position with their retail outlet store leases left them encumbered with large debt to the major shopping mall chains they had leased space in. They got too deep into the retail side of things, because they didn't have the distribution channels of Fox, Thor/Parts Unlimited, Tucker/Answer/MSR, Fly/WPS. No Fear was huge in certain regions, but their national dealer network was not on the level of the other major gear brands.
When you aren't making money and reach your debt cap, suppliers stop making or shipping product for you unless you have cash, and when you are in bankruptcy protection it makes it difficult to function as a company.
There were also company/personnel changes that led the No Fear MX brand down a different path, since No Fear MX started off as a licensed name operated by Surwall with McGrath as the name behind the brand. I'm pretty sure that also changed over the years to No Fear corporate taking over.
At the end it was a complicated corporate structure for No Fear/No Fear MX/No Fear Energy drink/No Fear stores/ etc plus all of the side ventures the Simo brothers and the main partners had going on. Mark and Brian have moved on to other projects and tried all sorts of avenues to keep No Fear alive, but it just wasn't viable after the market collapse. They would be a good interview for a podcast or magazine feature.
I think someone ended up buying the old inventory and the name through the bankruptcy. That might have been the issue for the guy above that didn't get his product New No Fear/Old No Fear. Which sucks, hind site is always 20/20, but there is always recourse for undelivered goods, stop payments through the bank or credit card companies normally side immmediatly with the purchaser.
The retail stores were spun off into a seperate company at one point called XRyderz, the gear wasn't directly spun off, but a lot of the main players of the gear division started Alias.

Alias in all its glory is nowhere near No Fear. I feel like No Fear was a bit a head of its time with design and colors.
I tried to buy a few sets of them in 2010 or 2011 when they still had them in stock. Too bad that they wouldn't ship them to Finland.
interesting to see how so many people, along with I, think No Fear was iconic gear. seemed very much ahead of its time. you could wear any of that stuff nowadays and it wouldnt look dated at all.
i don’t see much resemblance between no fear and alias so i wonder if alias has the same design team. i’d imagine not.
i did hate however how cheesy their lower end casual clothes used to be
dirt bikes are neat
