Personally, I think stuff like this is good for the sport. Look at Hannah and Howerton BITD. The only difference was, there was no social media, and no forums to chat about it. Smile

Guy B,

Wonder how some of these youngsters would have made it back in the day when unless you were at the race you had to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to find out who won!
Cycle News! Good times.

I'd LOVE to see these kids race the ol' Saddleback track or Carlsbad...late in the day...the true definition of "blue groove".

It was really awkward.. Bagget back tracked and side stepped all his previous "bold" statements haha.. he went way off track at one point, I don't know what he was going on about (talking about having a great job?? Huh?)
ET3 should elaborated more on not being able to get up further than 12th last week after tip over.. I'm sure it was partly the track but it is interesting that BB4 has come back from a first turn crash to 3rd twice !
JA21 is cool, he is definitely fired up over BB4 comments haha! Good stuff.

With all due respect, I would argue that they all have personalities and it's up to the media to draw them out with good questions. What would this press conference have looked like if that one media dude hadn't called out El Hombre on the tweet? I bet it would have been another boring press conference. Who was that BTW? Dude deserves props.

Thought it was funny. Seemed to me more like someone wanted to say: "We're just 20 year old guys doing a little trash talking, yet the media gets all in a dither over it. No big deal. Its done on Vital all the time."

It's interesting to see how the 450 class has taken over this drama filled role from the 250's as of late. The differences in the press conferences has been pretty evident.

I love it all. I'm waiting for Baggett to show up with a eulogy for one of these guys to pass out down at the starting gate.

Been funny if when Blake was rambling dodging the question, Tomac or ando woulda been like "dude shut up!" Haha Tomac actually looks a little mean. While Blake looks like a little kid. And Ando looks like he's ready for another hit off the bong. Awesome group of dudes. Best season in quite some time!

It kind of reminds me of the press conferences from 06-07 when Stew, RC, and Reed were all trying to play mind games with each other and it was just uncomfortable to be in the room with them, because they were all so tense and trying to determine who was alpha amongst the three of them.

At least Anderson is making jokes to lighten the mood.

I don't get why people are so against the term "tried to break him" that's what you do when you pass someone and put a couple heaters in, you break their spirit for the rest of the moto so they don't make another pass attempt. It will take more than 1 moto to "break" Eli Tomac. If it kept happening over and over like last year with Roczen, then maybe you could say Kenny broke Eli during the 2016 outdoors. But Eli still had some fight left in him.

Imagine if Roczen was in the mix!

Love it. It's part of the sport guys, let them talk if they want to. Who cares.

Anderson is yeahnoforsure the greatest one to watch during the pressers. I like how unpolished, open, and fun he is - dude is just a goofball. Tomac always looks like he can't stand being there, and his usually short answers reflect that.

One weird thing about the format is the camera placement. Sure, the wide-angle gets all of the riders in one static shot so we can see their reactions, but it places the camera extremely close to one rider, which can be a bit distracting. Tickle repeatedly snacking on skin and fingernails during the first part of the High Point presser is one example of this.

I honestly thought it was kinda cringy, and especially Jason, he really needs to lose the filler words - yeah, no, fer sure, 100%, I felt like, uh, uh, uh.....

And his one comment " that first moto, I felt like I was up front ....." Laughing Ummmm....dude...you WERE up front!!

Eli really didnt say anything....short quick answers. I think he's a bit irritated with someone.....haha

Over all pretty entertaining, I am fully enjoying this season.

This season is turning out to be awesome.

I was just thinking to myself how much I appreciated Tomac's approach, but Bagget's 2 or 3 comments have provided some real interest to the series. And now Anderson has gotten involved, I'll watch every race just to see how Anderson races around Baggett when they're next to each other.

The UFC was killing it when they had all of the loudmouth guys. I would watch anything and everything that Chael Sonnen was a part of just because his trash talking was so over the top it was just hilarious. He was a comedian that was willing to get his ass kicked. And he delivered on both of those fronts.

I think SX needs a JLaw that doesn't go off the rails.

Bagget was following Eli in the 2nd practice Saturday morning at Muddy Creek. When they were pulling off the track BB pulled up beside ET and started talking shit. I couldn't hear what he was saying buy he was hollering something at him. ET didn't even turn around.

In the pulpmx post-race podcast Weege said it was "wheels" or something like. I guess it's a RacerX contributor.

No doubt it was fun to watch! As BB said it is all fun, and i think messing up a bit the competition mentally can be an asset. The faces of ET and JA when he said he came back from last to 3rd was speaking volume Wink

This may have been mentioned/pointed out, but in the interview where Bagget talks about "breaking" the other riders, he is mentioning how that's what Tomac has done. When he gets out in front, he pulls away and breaks riders, because they think they can't catch the rider out front. Meaning they break them. Which has been pointed out time and time again by the announcers how that is what is done by Bagget/Tomac/ Carmichael/McGrath and other riders. Simply saying that he is trying to do what Tomac has done before. Why is this such a huge offense to everyone?

The "break him" comments were not the ones that pissed off ET or JA.....talking about ET's Dad and slamming Aldon were the comments that threw the gas on the fire.

Pretty sure it was Jimmy Albertson......dude has a pretty unique lisp that's pretty easy to spot. If it sounds like Ronnie Mac is asking the question, then it's probably Jimmy. Lol
