Baggett just got his first O/A so we'll see how the rest of his season plays out. I know hes beatin tomac before but shit this was his first time on a 450 where tomac didnt really look comfortable. I just dont see baggett being able to consistently beat tomac like i see tomac consistently beating baggett. I hope we have a 3 rider race to the last round, but i still see tomac wrapping this up a round early especially with the motivation he'll have now.

I only got to listen to the first 10 minutes of the Baggett interview as I was driving into work earlier, but man I was loving it. I loved his confidence and almost arrogance. It seemed similar to what we saw from Kenny through the outdoors and pre-season. He wasn't pulling any punches that's for sure. Looking g forward to listening to the rest of the interview

If you have the balls and skill to pass Eli Tomac around the outside for the lead and then pull away for the win you have earned the right to talk the talk for the week.

I don't recall any history between the two. Where did this stem from? If he just said "I am here to win and think I have what it takes to do so" I wouldn't question anything. But he was very specific and even went a little personal against Tomac (the jabs about his Dad). Don't get me wrong... I LOVE THIS and ENCOURAGE all competitors to be like this but in this sport we really haven't seem something like this without it being prompted by something.

From what I gather he is just hell bent to slay Tomac on the track and off the track. Good on BB4!

It's easier to win when you set your sights on a single goal. After Tomac's Supercross season his outdoor championship has been treated as a foregone conclusion. Bagget probably thinks of Tomac as THE guy to beat.

Every time he runs an extra mile, lays down an extra lap or pushes a little harder in the gym, he probably has Tomac in his head.

That's a good way to focus yourself and win a title; pick an antagonist and hate them for no reason except that they're taking your paycheck as Bagget put it.

Seriously???? You clearly are not a fan of this sport, or you don't know what you are talking about. Invisible in the last three years? See below:

2015 450SX - 5th overall (Rookie SX year)
2015 450MX - 4th overall (rookie MX year)
2016 450SX - Missed races due to injury, had a couple top 5's
2016 450MX - passed Eli in moto 1 for 3rd. Broken collar bone moto 2, missed races
2017 450SX - 6th overall
2017 MX - currently 3rd overall, only 19 points down.

That's nice that he was able to finish consistently enough to have such high standing at the end of the season. Then again there's always a surprise with who end up Near the top of the list. Last year we had Phil Nicoletti and Benny Bloss in 5th and 6th. If they end up winning a moto would we see them sounding off about Tomac's dad and how they need to break him?

Yeah but all these guys previous who were the ones winning races and titles all had success early in the 450 class. RV, RD, KR, ET, JA, MM (should have won in his rookie year) all won in their rookie year with the exception of Musquin who got multiple his second year. 2015 outdoors Blake raced every moto and only podiumed 3 or 4 times in a not so deep field, really that's pretty good but if you look at the guys I mentioned earlier they did much better than that. RD and KR both won the title in their rookie year, RV and ET both won a race in there rookie year, Eli did it coming back from injury.

For a national champion his move to the 450 class has been pretty underwhelming (compared to the standards set) till now, I realize he's dealt with injuries and whatnot but realistically who hasn't?

Yeah. That was last year. When Baggett was one of the injured guys allowing bliss and nicoletti to finish so high. The year before wasn't like that.

I really didn't think anything in the interview was too cocky or aggressive. Referencing the dad stuff was weird but not egregious. He was easily the baddest dude at the track this weekend so be too humble about his weekend or how he feels about his chances would be insincere. Of course he needs to do it consistently but that is all of their goals. Tomac certainly hasn't been consistent.

Tomac is losing a lot of time, in what are already short careers, to put down a resume of being "the man" for a period of time. There are some 250f guys that I think are going to push the top 450 guys when they move up.

Baggett has raced 45 Supercrosses on a 450 and podiumed twice (4%). He has raced 20 450 MX events and podiumed 5 times (25%). Combined, that is 7 podiums in 65 races (11%).

Since 2015 (when Baggett moved to 450), Tomac is 15 for 51 (29%) in Supercross and 13 for 18 (72%) in motocross. 28 for 69 (41%) combined.

Baggett's been looking good lately, but hasn't been nearly as relevant for podiums as Tomac.

That's a hypothetical. We have no idea how benny freaking bloss would act if he passed and then checked out on Eli. Might as well be asking the goons reading this how they would react.

Lol....smh.....humility is not insecurity. "Boy that Ryan Dungey was a great racer but he spent his whole career extremely insecure." In fact dominating with humility is a direct sign of security.

So we have Roczen at the A-1 press conference wearing a suit, looking Professional,well spoken,representing Honda and our sport in a Professional manner. And for that,the guy gets ripped for being arrogant and cocky by the the fans.
Now we have Bagget,after wining ONE moto, goes on Pulp,calling guys out for know real reason,and sounding pretty unprofessional at times,and the guy is suddenly a fan favorite!
KTM should have Bagget spend some time with Dungey.

I thought the crowd concerning roczen at A1 was pretty split. I for one thought it was excellent. Looks to me the comments are fairly split about bagget as well.

Reminds me of when Anstie started popping off after winning a race 2 years ago about how he was as fast as herlings or something along those lines. It lasted a week, I have a feeling this will be a similar situation.
