Nope. You can't anymore. You will need to download the NBC Sports Gold app which is a seperate apop from the NBC Sports app. You need to buy the Motocross package for 49.99 and use the NBC Sports Gold App. All motos will be live and commercial free with a paid subscription to the motocross package.
Thanks

As you know part of the package are the 2015/16 seasons. They are available on the app, but not all of them play. Using a current model Apple TV with current sw updates. Take Hangtown 2016: the only "episode" that will play is 250 Moto 1. The others error and say "access to this content is not part of your current subscription". Clearly this is in error as I do have it and some work, there are no "lock" icons on any of the content. I have emailed NBC sports gold and they are investigating.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Yeah.. I've just bought the gold pass and i am unable to play any of the 2016 / 2015 races avaible on there right now. I guess it's a VPN issue i am having since the content is blocked in my country...

Atleast i got some days left to try and get it to work before Hangtown Unsure

*Update: Disregard what i said before, it was indeed a VPN issue. Tried it now with Cyber Ghost free version and it works perfectly. (rewatching southwick right now!)

Not sure but I will test. But if the app is available for your phone or tablet, chromecast is just a hub. So in short, if it works on your phone or tablet, CC will be fine.

Okay, so I have a Samsung Smart TV and can't find an NBC Sports Gold app to download. I have downloaded the NBC Sports application and it has something about Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, but I have to have a provider in order to access it.

What's up with that? Is there any other way to get this? I'm not wasting my money on cable.

Same here I am under the impression you need Apple TV or something similar. I'm headed to Best Buy tomorrow to pick one up. Xfinity doesnt have mav in my market plus I want hd.

My best guess is that there is no NBC Sports Gold App for the Samsung TV directly. You need an Amazon Fire TV Box or something similar.

The NBC Sports app and the NBC Sports Gold app are two different apps. And you use different credentials to use them. With the NBC Sports app you login using a cable TV subscription service. You could do that and watch the motos live last year. You can't do that this year.

This year you need the NBC Sports Gold App and you must purchase the motocross package for 49.99. You will login using your NBC Sports Gold credentials. You won't use a cable TV service to login. All motos will air live and commercial free on the NBC Sports Gold app with a paid motocross subscription.

It works fine casting to chromecast from app on my phone. I've watched few archived races from last year.

Still trying to confirm that the "on demand" coverage will indeed be an exact carbon copy of everything shown live - qualifiers and all, approx 6hrs of coverage total. Anyone verify this?

Update on Apple TV app: It seems that NBC gold app people have gotten this straight, in part due to all of us getting involved, yay us.
History: First not all archived races played, then they took down the races that didn't work, now they have repopulated and a quick spot check has them working.
If anyone has any ISSUES the help feature has an email address, use that, they were fairly responsive.

Update on Roku - Promotocross is NOT available on Roku. I have multiple Roku systems and the app is available on Roku and cycling is available on the app. Pro motocross has some videos in the highlights section on Roku, but the motos and live events will NOT be available on Roku. I have no idea why they show some material and not all of it on Roku.

I sent 2 emails to NBC Gold and all they said is Pro Motocross is not available on Roku. So in a nutshell, don't go get a Roku. Sucks for me, just gonna go get a Google Chromecast streamer....

So I have signed up for this as it's the only way to view all races live..
I'm not impressed thus far...
First I downloaded and installed their ANDROID APP on Google Play Store
to my Android Media Box...The amount of access the app wants is huge btw...
When attempting to run the Android App it says it wants my LOCATIONS SERVICES
turn ON..OK..Turned it on...Still says my locations services is off...I made sure the
app was authorized full access in my firewall...Same thing...So their Android App
will not work on an Android Media Player...Evidently they want to do a whole lot of
snooping on your Smart Phone Only....

OK...So then I logged in with a computer using Firefox...
That works...However it's just the same old player they used last year (Except this
year you pay for it)...Where as last year they had the AD banners all around the
windows...Because your paying for it the ad banner around the actual screen
is black but you still have that large area now just black...The trick to get rid
of "most of it" is to zoom your browser until the screen almost fully fills your
TV's screen and then select full screen in your browser which will get rid of the
browser's menu, etc. This way you have it almost full screen except for two
thin whit borders on each side...

Oh and you are signed up for AUTO RENEWAL with no way for you to opt
out yourself...However they said you can contact them to have them disable
the AUTO RENEWAL...I've already sent them an email to disable AUTO RENEWAL...
We'll see how that goes...So far this is the same exact thing as last year except
this year it costs $50...And the Android App evidently doe not work except on a
Android Smartphone so they can snoop on all your data. Yeah I'm sure this is
real good for the sport.

As long as it's not region specific, blocking access to anyone without a U.S. IP address, it's real good for the sport.

I am certainly no expert on this streaming app stuff.

But I did purchase the NBC Gold outdoors package already and have been watching the content that is there already from previous seasons. I can say that I am pleased with it, works great, rewind, pause, etc. No commercials. They still prepare for the commercial breaks but then it just comes right back to the event like you skipped ahead past the commercials.

I also have some of the same questions as the OP. I'm not really planning on watching any of it "live" but will be sitting down at night with the intent of putting it on.
Does this work on the Xbox? I have to get this to watch the races cuz mav isn't available in my area but don't wanna watch...

I signed up for the cycling package too and did a dry run with the Tour of California last night. The first attempt came out with very jerky, pausing video (audio was not affected).

I reloaded the page and all was great after that. So referehsing to have NO COMMERCIALS!!

It worked on Chromecast, but the quality is much better when I just run an HDMI cable between my laptop and TV...

Stoked for Saturday. I hope it works as well when all the traffic hits.

Huh? I'm in Nevada...I'm pretty sure Nevada and my ISP's IP is in the U.S.
Their locations services requrement is simply part of their snooping on who you are where you are, accessing also all of your data on your smartphone, phone numbers, mailbox, photos, etc.

No, the races are no longer available via the traditional NBC Sports App. Only watch on Gold or live TV programming.

I don't have any other words than to say that's just F'n robbery. I'll just go ride my own bike as $50 "Extra" dollars will get me all through Big Bear.

OK...I have figured out what the deal is with the ANDROID APP...

You must use WiFi if you are using an Android Box...After checking their requirements
for the app they stated you must use 3G, 4G, or WiFi...
Now why an android box that is connected on ethernet will not work I can only guess that the Android App
is checking for one of those three connections (3g,4g,Wifi)...It's not written to use an ethernet connection
so it comes up with an erroneous error saying that your location services is off (even if it's on)...
Once I disbled ethernet on my android box and connected via wifi then the app installed and I was able
to authorize and stream with the Android App....I did try disabling wifi and reenabling ethernet again just to
see if it would work now that way as it was now authorized but NO...It said the same thing about location
services not turned on...So...If you want to use the ANDROID APP on an ANDROID Media box...you have to...
1. Turn ON Locations Services (In Settings).
2. CONNECT VIA WIFI (Ethernet will not work with the NBC Gold Android App).

I just got the NBC Sports Gold downloaded to my Android box and working Great! Watching replays from last year. I'm flying out tomorrow for HangTown but I'm Super Pumped to watch the rest of the Summer for $49. I was just about to Get back on the Cable just for The Great Outdoors but now I'm all good with just KODI and my Outdoor Season Pass

I have received an email back from NBC GOLD after I requested that AUTO RENEW be disabled.
The have confirmed to me (in email) that my request to have Auto Renew disabled has been done.
So if you don't want auto renew annually you can request to have it disabled. Make sure to have them
acknowledge in an email when it's done so you have proof.

I signed up too, no issues.

As a test run I watched the first few laps of 450 moto 2 from Millville last year. Roczen was just incredible, will really miss him being out there this season.
