When Dungey wins the title by more than 3 points, hopefully Eli will put this behind him. He BLEW IT, regardless of the Musquin/ Dungey situation.

I say Tomac just added another year to Dungeys career. He's not going to walk away, he's going to bust ass and come back to destroy Tomac next year.

Of course there is no way Grant would sacrifice his position in Vegas if it would propel Eli to the championship. Eli would probably pull over also, refusing to have any points handed to him. His noble character would prevent him from following the KTM example of moral turpitude.

nevermind... saw the other comments

if true, then Tomac is a crybaby. Grant tried to pull over but Tomac was too busy dragging his dick in the dirt

I think Eli is kidding himself. In the very off chance that Grant is in front of him in Vegas and he needed those points to win the championship, he would expect him to give up the spot.

Dungey already admitted that he isn't the fastest guy out there and we all know that Eli is on another level. So please tell everyone who just read what you posted how that could ever happen, barring an injured Eli.

Nope, you're right. Eli did it all himself. He's a self made man. No help from Dungey was needed.

I hope one of the KTM guys thanks Eli for throwing away a championship, and a million bucks, that Dungey wasn't too ashamed of capitalizing on. Those nine wins are going to stand out in The Vault, but not as well as Dungey's fourth SX title, and third in a row. Tomac is justifiably upset, but the negative comments should be directed at himself for not being able to seal the deal when he has clearly been the faster rider over the majority of the season, and held the points lead with two races remaining. The champ isn't going to lose any sleep over the runner-up's comments.

In Eli's defense, he had to at least TRY to say something the *might* rattle Dungey. JLaw successfully got in Dungey's head so Eli probably figured it was worth a shot. He's grasping at straws. Not really a big deal.

I bet Dungey will sleep better than Eli when Eli has to live with the fact that he had the points lead and the race lead and threw it away then rode like a midfield guy failing to make up points.

Eli's ""anger" stems from a mistake laden race and the rubbing of salt in the wound from the ktm squad.
Dungey deserves the title according to the AMA rule book yes. though doesn't deserve the win in metlife. If it does come down to 3pts in vegas, Eli has every right to be upset, as well as his fans. I was there last week and I paid about $75 to see the fastest sx riders in the world race for the checkers, instead i was duped into watching a corporate scheme of pre-planned racing, in relative terms.

Question: “Eli were you aware what was going on up front.. Marvin had the lead until the very end of the race….”

Eli: “I mean after the fact I knew about it.. that was tough to see also… if the championship comes down to those 3 points… that’s a bummer… a bummer for everyone… umm…. But… hey.. if you wanna take it.. take that home.. and sleep on that at night knowing that someone pulled over for ya.. then it is what it is..”
Eli's sarcasm was very appropriate and showed he was pissed.
As the camera zoomed back out, it looked like Dungey bristled at the comment.

Before you say it, yes, Eli f'd up in NJ. I wouldn't call him a whiner if it came down to 3 points, even if you approve of team tactics. He doesn't have to be happy about it and suck it up.

I would think Eli will sleep pretty good knowing he beat Dungey on almost every occasion, I can't recall a race other than the first three where Dungey ever passed him. Tomac's caught, passed, and dropped Dungey numerous times this season. Obviously losing the title sucks and Dungey has been damn good and done what he's had to do but facts are facts man, Eli's been the best guy and IMO the best guy doesn't necessarily always win.

Exactly. Tomac messed up last week. Dungey hasn't "destroyed" Tomac once this entire year.

Eli had been the best guy 9 times out of 16 races. I just looked at the record books and it doesn't show anything about sleeping well.

hhmmmmm..... The question to Eli probably should have been, if the shoe was on the other foot and JG pulled over for you, would you have handled it as well as Dungey has????

Where's the part where he says "It's all on me, I couldn't even pass my own teammate." This stuff comes from the top down. Unfortunately, he's been fed a bunch of shit from his "crew chief". Every point earned...on his own.

Shoe's on the other foot and he's gladly taking those 3 points and sleeping like a baby.

You're probably right. Riders are always talking about how championships don't matter as long as they win races. Checkers or wreckers. 2nd is the first loser. All that shit.

Weird to draw a link between someone getting pissed at the outcome of a motocross race and SJWs, but I'll go with your thinking on this. What are your thoughts on Eli getting all triggered because he couldn't handle the pressure of the red plate? Bit of a snowflake thing to do, right? What a cuck. Well, either that or seeing the entire world as made up of nothing more than a bunch of Hillary supporters or Trump supporters is a stupid thing to do. Stick to talking about Motocross.
5/5/2017 2:39pm
Ya um....whatever Eli. I don't think anyone "likes" team tactics, especially Dungey or MM. I know for certain Ryan doesn't like winning that way. But when your employer gives you instructions - you either do it or suffer the consequences. It is what it is. Had the tables been turned, I'm certain Kawi would have done the same thing. Regardless, I doubt the championship comes down to 3 points anyway.
