Triton Added a reply to Hangtown MX - Race Discussion

Amazing how much these riders tolerate Marvin’s dangerous riding. He cant help himself with cross jumping and cutting across the front tires of the other guys. its also why he always makes mistakes and goes off the track. He cant hold a racing line.

This is pretty on point. When I prototyped the controls for Reflex I used Untamed initially. It worked to kind of prove the controls out but it wasn't until the physics came in for Reflex that it really started to show its potential. Reflex is still one of my favorites as well. You never got to see the SX side...

I have zero insight into what they are doing for All Out. Prior though the reason they were DLC was due to licensing agreements. When they are DLC, you only had to pay a percentage of royalties on what was actually sold rather than a percentage of every game sale. This also made it easier to negotiate the rates and...

Without knowing the specifics it is most likely a USA vs. Japan issue. Kawasaki US uses a marketing agency that you have to go through for licensing and partnerships. Then Japan has to sign off. The only other issue is if the rider wants more than they want to pay which may or may not be the case. I'm excited...

DC, I know I'm pushing on this. I do appreciate you responding to my posts. Probably more than you should. I'm of the position that there cannot be complete confidence in non professional flaggers. There is too much variability from track to track and race to race. This is one instance were I think SX has improved dramatically. (Side note...

Here is your flag rule. Tell me which part they didn't obey. b. Warning Flags: i. Yellow Flag: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation on or near the racetrack. Riders must exercise caution. Passing is allowed. You might want to think about being a little more explicit on what exercise caution means.Under the current rule, what should they do on a...

And yet he still did a terrible job. If he is scared of getting hit, as he says he has then he shouldn't be out there. All of these excuses are unbearable really. If they can't control one jump how can any of the riders or teams have any faith in safety around the track? All I hear are excuses...

How much they would cost is not an excuse. This is a professional sport and we are talking safety. So we are saying that corners need to be cut regarding safety to save some money? If it's 20 then it's its 20 or 40. Cost is not a valid excuse. Yeah it's going to be expensive. It needs to be...

Riders have no incentive to do anything with a yellow flag if there is no consistency in how it is used and what it means. As for not wanting to jump out there, that is the exact point as to why these need to be professionals and not local for hire guys.

Davey - thanks for the response and good to see some action taking place. But why does it take stuff like this? And I stand by my comment that local, for hire, non professional flaggers are an issue. A team of flaggers that are professionally trained and travel need to happen. It doesn't matter if Joe blow knows the track...

It's hard to have a discussion about what the riders should and shouldn't do on a yellow when the flaggers arent doing what is needed. Name another professional sport where amateur, for hire people, are used in a safety position of professional atheletes. There is no excuse for this. Spend the money and do it proper Davey. This is embarrassing...

This is entirely on Davey. This is a professional sport. There should be zero for hire flaggers doing this just to get close to the action. Buck up put professionally trained flaggers together. They would go race to race. How scary and embarrassing. It's amazing how much progress is made forward yet there are still things like this amateur hour...

Dungey was being owned by Roczen until he got hurt and then couldn't hang with Tomac. Sucks Tomac threw away the Jersey race. Outdoors will be fun to watch Tomac destroy him outdoors where he is better. Can't wait. No more hollow championships for the Dung.

Question: “Eli were you aware what was going on up front.. Marvin had the lead until the very end of the race….” Eli: “I mean after the fact I knew about it.. that was tough to see also… if the championship comes down to those 3 points… that’s a bummer… a bummer for everyone… umm…. But… hey.. if you wanna...

Good to see politics alive and well in motocross still. I knew before even reading that Gallagher was going to be a part of this in some way. Great to see he still has no idea how to govern a race. Good stuff.
