It was. not like MEC.
And listen to Dungeys interview right after the race. He confirmed those kIckers
Fucking Dungey man. Freak. 2006 debut. A concussion, a broken collarbone and a fractured vertabrae. Dude's a damn metronome, unbelievable how consistently fast he is, puts the others against the wall for sure.

Purely one of those "what if" scenarios, could maybe have fluked it and rode on, or KO himself and end up way worse than a broken arm.
Sucks to see anyway, Hoping that Marvin can taste the blood in the water (no pun intended) and goes out swinging.
If that race post Roczen's crash is any indicator for the rest of the season, we are in for an utter snooze fest.
ALL those riders out there risk there live and limbs on any given time and track. NOBODY should get hurt or want to see someone else get hurt, this sport is already super brutal.
Speedy recovery Ken hope you get well soon and can come back strong.
Congratz Ryan on the win.
Question is, will Roczen adopt a more conservative strategy upon his return? He needs only to look at James Stewart to understand the risk of being FMOTP at every race.
It could be such a great season for him and spectators, it will hurt even Dungey as he lost maybe last chance to finally won a title in straight fight.
Hopefully JS7 is coming back soon, he will bring some excitment back for sure.
Shame he didn't launch a couple meters further and land on the downside. Wouldn't say he was 'on the edge' just 'one of those' mistakes
Congrats to dungey btw...
Pit Row
Some of the smug and half veiled comments I've been reading on Vital are utterly disgusting.
Kroc looked extremely frantic on lap two with a few mistakes and pulling a tear-off like he hated it. He made a few more mistakes in the latter laps but actually seemed to have calmed down a bit by the time he was bucked off.
I have read many of the comments and watched the video over and over. From my point of view, he was in the process of being ejected when he made the decision to bail out....allowing him (right or wrong) to partially choose how he was going to impact. Kicker, plain and simple. He was thrown up and lost contact with the bike so he really had no choice but to bail......or become a flying W. I had a similar experience on a big tabletop but I wasn't thrown up like that, I hit a false neutral and couldn't get the back end to come down and endoed.
As for Ken...you wanna know what I thought at the start of the season? I thought 'if he doesn't have a big crash'...
I agree, though, that anyone who thinks 'thats what he gets' for being confident or whatever is a scumbag.
I don't see a connection with his confidence, bordering on cockiness. Hasn't he pretty much crashed himself out nearly every year? Definitely has speed, but he has not found the speed he can maintain for a season.
He simply just got off the gas too soon. That's all it was.
MEC he cased the jump before which got him out of rhythm. Last night he didn't case the jump before he just got bucked.
