He actually is near the level of where JS or RC were, but now every body else is also.

Forkner is fine....Just like last summer, he is letting it come to him. He isn't going out and being stupid on the track trying to make a splash. He is VERY smart, and his results will improve based on good old fashioned hard work, and patience. He has a remarkable support group in his family behind him, quite a bright future ahead of him....

Lol, I'm tired of this talk, he was suposed to go there and destroy everyone, same with Webb. Forkner is doing fine and Webb is terrible. I don't care if they will be there at the end of the season. They don't living up to their hype that's the fact.
Forkner said he was going to go in there and destroy everyone? Or someone here said that? Don't blame him because you read a bunch of comments and built a level of expectation up for someone and they aren't satisfying you.

I don't think anyone had him pegged as the next RC or JS. Maybe the media hype wanted that but I don't think many people actually believed it. I'm not sure anyone thought AC would win 24 straight outdoor motos in 450s by the time his career is done.

He's a very good rider who was definately the supposed next phenom. But that happens with a lot of young riders. Due to circumstances (injuries, etc) they flame out. He's got time to turn it around though.
I disagree, I specifically remember reading a post here where the father told his son that they were getting ready to watch something very special when AC made his debut; as if he was going to make history. I wish AC well with his career but a better comparison for him at this point is MA800, please do not read this is a dig at either of them jmo.

All I was saying is I feel like the kid got way to hyped up. He is an amazing rider I'm not saying he sucks. He needs to get the whoops figured out and I'm sure he would be fine

To be fair, we did see something very special when AC made his debut. It hasn't gone that way recently, but what he did up until he got hurt was special, no doubt.

I agree, but Mcgrath isnt a good example, McGrath was a c rider 18 months before his first supercross race.

MC's first season 89 was very limited as he only attempted 5 events, Anaheim (11th), double header in Seattle (8th night 1)(2nd night 2 behind reigning 125 champ Jeff Matsevich in MCs 3rd 125 SX ever), Sa Diego (8th), and LA (8th).

1990 was his break out season. He probably would have won that title without the DNF in Houston. Got his first win in race 10 of his career.

89 was still his rookie season.and winning only 1 race in 90 i wasnt really a breakout season, that would come in 91 his 3rd season in 125 class. Swink had a true breakout rookie season in 91 and even won his first race like Ciancurula did as well.

For a rookie? I think he's doing great! AC may of been better at the start of his SX career....and I'm sure Austin will get it down too. And out doors......There isn't even a comparison as far as I'm concerned. That kid is an animal.

Since A1 has came around I've never seen this many dumb post in the forum. Give the rookies a few races to sort it all out. Nothing but a bunch of damn goons around here posting abosolute nonsense.

So many fanboys and PC bullshit, NO ONE BLAMING HIM, hype was everywhere, from RC comments, through industry and fans comments to his interviews and Dirt Shark video where he SEND IT everyday.

Being way slower than his teammate is not what people expected and there's nothing wrong with being dissapointed about that. Still, WE KNOW THAT HE'S DOING GREAT AS A ROOKIE.

Would you be happier he sandbagged and waited for 250 East?

He made it through his first full pro series with stellar rides.

AC took years to finish a series. Of either kind.
