We need a 125 class for real both MX and SX, economically feasible of course, with an age limit. The 250 class should be equal displacement as there would be way more variety and intrigue. The open class should be unlimited-run what you brung. 2 stroke or 4-open up the flood gate to innovation. I know that is 3 things. I also agree with Oscottie-there needs to be some sanity in the schedule.

Shorten sx by 17 rounds, and a few to the outdoor scheduleWhistling

13 MX and 13 SX races. Grand championship for overall as well as series champs. In both he MX and SX series half the races are on 450 bikes and the other half are on 250 bikes (two stroke or four stroke). In 250 races you must stay with the same stroke bike through the whole season (6 MX and 7 SX)

With a $20K "Claiming Rule".
That is kind of counterproductive isn't it? What factory would want to build a full works bike and then lose it to some guy who forks out a measily (for the factories) $20k?

Limit the gate to the amount of riders that can at least stay on the same lap barring crash or mechanical issues. If that is 10 than so be it. Indoors and out. It costs me $3500 to take my family of 5 to a supercross with flights, hotels, rental car, tickets, and food for the 2.5 hour show. No way there should be lappers in any of the races.

Yeah that would be fun watching 8 to 12 guys racing with a 3 second gap between each guy.
If you don't get lappers, you don't get racing and the show aspect.

Uh what? lol lappers are part of the sport, almost all motosports. Sometimes lappers make it interesting (avoiding, passing) No one forces you to spend that much.

I agree with ML512, increase the purses and more people come out to race. Simple. But not a simple fix.

Would like to see it be one 24 race series, a couple SX, then an outdoor race back to SX, outdoor back to SX. See some warmer SX and some cooler MX and make it more travel friendly for the racers. Three weeks on two off??? Not such a grueling hot summer for MX. Just dreaming

12 Sx rounds, 12 MX rounds, a champion for each and a combined Grand National Champion. 250 SX has no coasts and you cant point out.

Well, there goes the idea of a works bike without giving the privateers a shot at keeping it pseudo-level....so...

What can you do with a $9,000 bike and $11,000 to make it a racer?

If you're an OEM, you could make 400 RCF450s...
Or 400 SX450FREs
Or 400 FCR450s
Or 400 OW450Fs
All for $19,999.99

In the case of the RCF, for instance, you could add some nice electronics, an HRC Engine Kit, a Ti Exhaust that's tunable, assorted Carbon and Ti bits to make it really-really-really light with perfect "Mass Centralization", Billet HRC hubs/Gold Dirt Stars...etc., etc., etc. ...

KTM and Husky? Even easier! Factory Services engine package, the same suspension that the boys run including CV 52s, a few of the bolt on goodies...basically a FACTORY RACE EDITION...

Those are my easiest explanations.

Do that along with another -1- year exemption for Develoment.

I would like to see SX start earlier and have less rounds so that there is a longer break before MX starts giving riders a chance to heal up. Also it would allow for MX to visit states like FL and TX before the summer heat kicks in! I would start MX in FL for the first round.

Let 2nd and 3rd place in point standings run different background color's, which will help (some) viewer's know who's chasing the red plate. Yellow and GP green come to mind.

If I could change one thing it would be to stop people's complaining about the mx/sx series.
Enjoy it for what it is and while it lasts.

Why should your choice of transportation dictate who can or can't compete in a race? If you don't feel you're getting value for the money you spend then don't spend it. Do something else with your family. There's always Monster Jam. Nobody gets lapped in their races.

125 stepping stone really should be in place.

More support for the riders however I have no idea the revenue the sport is making so its not my call.

A & B Mains in SX. Number one best thing they can do. Because usually by lap 10 the main is over anyway.

Pay points for 1 - 5 place in the heats and semis, so the championship can't (theoretically) be wrapped up with four rounds to go. It doesn't have to be a full 25 points, but say, maybe 10 points for a heat win, 8 for second and so-on. For semis, a win would pay 8, second would pay 6, etc.

Make the Nationals two day events again. Saturday was for picture taking, getting autographs, watching practice, getting souvenirs.... etc. Sunday was about grabbing a spot trackside and watching racing.

I know this is unpopular, but MX Sports and the AMA should proactively investigate what 4 stroke displacement works with the 125cc and 250cc National Class structure. The AMA classes have always been 125cc and 250cc, we got rid of the Open Class in 1994, partly because of boring racing !! MX Sports needs to follow suit with the AMA Amateur Motocross Rules and permit equal displacement in Pro Racing.

Doing away with the severely outdated “Double-Displacement” rule to make 125cc and 250cc dirt bikes competitive again MIGHT even influence diminishing turn-out at the local level and the high costs of racing. 450cc four-strokes are unnecessary and look at the excitement when Ken Roczen even rides a 20 year old 250cc two-stroke.

let teams sell their own merch.
Best idea on here. Think about the money the teams could generate. One would have to believe that Stankdog would have made some decent money this past summer. Screw Moto Tees.

They should pick one seat at random out of the crowd and give them $10,000 if they can do a 35' double... BOOM !!!

If they offer full scholarships for a moronic half court shot this is the LEAST sooopercross should do.
