Give me and others more credit please for the ability to see things not just in black and white.
Probably the question is the definition of support. Generally, I thing that all people including the LGBT should be free to follow whatever lifestyle works for them. They should not be discriminated against for their choice. At the same time a lifestyle choice should not be used as an excuse to interfere with the rights of others. I think your sports participation is a good example, a change of gender choice should not result in the right to participate is a gender class where one's initial gender results in an unfair advantage. Yeah, I realize this is probably an archaic approach, but, oh well .....

Well said. I'm behind everything you mentioned.

As a very happy and proud father of 3 children, yes I strongly agree that humans should continue to reproduce. I do think fathers should take being a father serious and start raising smarter and more loved children. Fathers have severely dropped the ball and now media makes it seem "normal" and "ok" to be a terrible father. My daughters school has over 50% of the children living in fatherless homes. Real MEN should take some darn responsibility and be real MEN. People are lost and confused because they didn't get the correct guidance while a child.
Totally agree, other than everyone needing to have 3 kids

Exactly... I think most of the sexual/gender confusion today comes from this.
I do still think some kids are just born on the wrong team though... it happens.
However, it's becoming a trend today and I think a lot of it has to due with the way some have been treating the sprout before it becomes a plant.

If you can't reproduce and continue to grow and support your species, then it isn't correct. Seems simple to me. That's my opinion!

Like a lot of people, my wife is unable to have biological children of her own. She's probably the most decent and kind human being I've ever known. What's not correct about that?

Agree but a very easy counter argument is that the women should have been smarter about who they had babies with. Assuming the goal was a stable two parent family - which unfortunately is a big assumption in a lot of cases.

Males pretending to be female in sports is wrong. It's also kind of funny that so many are so fearful of being labelled a "bigot" or "homophobe" that they allow it to even happen in the first place. In a way it's like karmic justice for mass stupidity. It's also a slippery slope towards bizarre things like children-adult marriages and animal-human marriages. The exact same logic can be used, so will the same insults against opponents.

It's funny seeing all the posters immediately say they "don't want to get political" about it. Guess what? It is political just like a of things in life. At some point you need to take a stance and stop being an indecisive intellectual wimp.

But a lot of people can't decide, that's why Facebook now offers 58 different genders for users to choose from:

Follow their hearts? What I don't understand is why language like this is being used to enable these people. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness and should be treated that way. You wouldn't tell someone who thinks they are a dog and crawls around on all fours barking that they should follow their heart, you'd tell them to go get help.

It's bad enough that laws are being changed to cater to this tiny fraction of confused individuals, but when they're allowed to compete in something like UFC against real women who they can do serious damage to, it's time to stop being so PC about it.

If you can't bolster your position with facts guess your only option is to bring a topic (God) that has zero to do with what we are discussing.

Are you homophobic too or just unable to stay on topic RE gay comment?

And you the hell are you to say there is no God? Bill Maher? What a know it all you are.

I disagree. Getting your junk removed doesn't change the fact you are still stronger than a woman IMO

For one point Katlyn Jenner is still a Bruce so he cannot be used in this story. Point 2 is that by law if they have completed gender reorganization they are by all laws now a woman and do not produce testosterone like a male does and those women weightlifter do to develop the muscle structure. If you have a fear or phobia or don't understand I suggest ask them. The girls I know all have great personalities and I Have not one issue. I asked when I have questions
Given transgenders in the women's classes I wouldn't waste my money racing in the Vet World if I was a female.

If you own a track owner or running races the issue of lawsuits is first and foremost because the women would not sue in my mind, but by law anybody who wanted to file a discrimination lawsuit can and may not even know them. Opinions are yours but unfair lawsuits hurt everyone.

I view these as a non issue as it effects what, like 0.01% of our population? But it is hyper reported for ratings by the liberal media. I think sports should be the same as the trans guys in the womans restroom. Just stop defining the bathrooms by "gender" and change it to "sex." So basically put a big penis on the penis bathroom and a vagina on the vagina bathroom. If you have a penis go to the penis bathroom, same thing with sports.

There was a transgender that raced at LL a few years back. Male went female and still go smoked. So that should be an even bigger ego disaster. The UFC thing is totally unfair. I don't think any of it is fair. If someone wants to change and be whatever they should have to stick to their original birth formality. imagine Bruce Caitlyn Jenner as an olypian in the femal olympics at HIS peak. He would have won everything. Male and female are genetically different.

How has this gone 3 pages without a click?
On the bathroom question, if you would expect a woman assaulting your daughter, or a man assaulting your son in the public bathroom to receive lesser sentence than the opposite sex assaulting your child, then gender identity is an issue...if not it seems a non issue.
On the racing/competition side of things it must be a minefield for organising bodies to navigate but 'birth gender' matters, especially if you've had testosterone helping you develop physically from a young age.

That's not quite the same, there are correct things that don't work properly sometimes. My wife and I had a stillborn baby girl in Dec 16, 2012, I'm not saying that my wife or my daughter that passed away is not correct. I'm really sorry to hear that about your wife, that much be tough for you both.

Why make a thread that isn't political political? You must want to see it go the Dumbgeon.

If you can't articulate a point just go the easy route and post some BS meme I guess.

Well I have to say it saddens me to see this topic posted and the responses in this thread, I know I have just lurked up until this point and only came here to read but after reading this thread I had to register and reply....I know I am most likely going to regret this but I am taking the high road....... I am a 42 year old trans woman... I used to race motocross in Canada in the 90's & early 2000's..... and I began my transition 4 years ago and have been legally a woman for 2 years...

So first point, many people are commenting on how a male to female trans woman has a physical advantage when competing against natal females. You believe that it is unfair for them to be competing in the same competition. (race, UFC, Olympics ect). Many sanctioning bodies require that trans women must be on Hormone Replacement Therapy for at least a year with levels being in the CIS female range for testosterone and Estrogen. After being on this medication the athlete would have lost a lot of her muscle mass and strength, infact studies have shown that they loose 22% and that equalizes them with a natal born woman. To take this a little further infact most women have higher testosterone levels than trans women as the medication "flat lines" testosterone production. Some other sanctioning bodies require the athlete to have completed GRS (genital reconstructive surgery) before competing is allowed...

As for the comments about this being a choice or "our chosen lifestyle", or even that we as trans people are forcing our perverted lifestyle or "mental illness" on the rest of the world..... simply not true. I did not have a choice in this, it was not something where I woke up one day and said "I think I want to be a woman".... I always knew I was one on the inside, with my earliest memories going back to 5 or 6. I came out to my mother when I was 9 or 10 and she threw me in conversion therapy right away... after that I said I would never speak of this again... That was the only "choice" I ever made... I tried to hide it and attempted to be a man........ until I could not take it any longer and was going to end my life... but my wife caught me and forced me into seeing a psychiatrist.... And the rest is history..

I am sorry you all feel the way you do, and I am thankful that I am Canadian as I am not subjected to the hate and violence that trans people face in the USA....

And I am sure I am going to regret posting this but I had to, seeing this topic on a motocross forum really saddened me.
