What are the best tracks in the south to visit over the winter? Some Michigan guys looking to go south and get some riding in for a few days. So far we are looking at Monster Mountain.
War Eagle MX in Auburn, practice track only open on weekends but a fun track.
County Line MX Fountain Fl. near Panama City FL. https://www.facebook.com/CLMX-County-Line-Motocross-109101102474138/
WW Ranch just West of Jacksonville Fl. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ww-Ranch-Mx/496152743757637
Waldo Motorsports Waldo Fl. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=waldo%20motorsports
Orlando MX Park East of Orlando https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=orlando%20mx%20park
Highland Park near Cedartown Ga. https://www.facebook.com/HighlandParkResort/?pnref=lhc
Occasionally Echeconnee MX park is opened by Matt Walker but only 1 weekend a month or so. https://www.facebook.com/MattWalkerRacing?fref=hovercard
CKB MX near Fort Valley Ga. another fun practice track open only on weekends. https://www.facebook.com/ckbmxtrack/?hc_ref=SEARCH
These two tracks are about 10 minutes from each other.
I live in SE Georgia so don't know too much about the tracks West of Monster.
Hope this helps

Gatorback in Gainesville, FL. Don't know if they have open practice.
Highland Park has very good trails and a cool natural terrain track. Durhamtown has multiple tracks.
Monster Mountain has been for a few years but right now there is some question as to when he will start being open 7 days a week. In previous years it was right after Christmas.
I believe many of the Florida tracks are open during the week. I know WW Ranch has been the last couple of years.
I don't know of any tracks in Georgia that are open 7 days a week with prep. I have never been to the Cairo area where all the practice facilities are so I don't know if they have open riding.

OP look up the Winter AM schedule, gatorback now has 2 tracks, WW is fun but to big for me
would think FL has the bet bang for the buck as far as variety of tracks all within an hours or so....
Highland Park only has 1 "real" mx track. Called MX2. Call ahead to see if it's opened. They have 3 other tracks, and God only knows how many miles of single track. Enough single track you could ride it all day and not hit the same trail twice. They no longer maintain the old track though, and nobody rides it. It's sketchy to say the least. So really if MX2 is closed, they have 2 tracks.
FYI, they have real bathrooms. With showers.
There's a track in Shannon, Georgia. Not far from HP. Never prepped. But it's an awesome lay out. Worth the $5 IMO. If you go, just pull in and start unloading. Steve or somebody will come around and have ya sign the waiver/collect your money.
Bring spare tubes to this track.
There's a track right off I75 called pro edge mx. I haven't ridden there since I was a kid, called chattanooga MX back then. It was pretty fun back then, no clue if it's still the same. Been closed all year for renovations, so it may not be open when you come down. If it's open, probably worth staying a night in Chattanooga and then hitting the track on your way down into Georgia.
Durhamtown and Highland Park both offer camping, bike service, parts, gear, food, etc. Highland Park is where I usually get parts for my bike (KTM) more often than not they'll have what I need in stock.
Btw, we haven't gotten rain in months. Even the yard is turning into a dust bowl. Expect dust. Lots of dust. Even if we get some rain before ya come down, it'll still be dusty.
