Best tracks for trip South?

What are the best tracks in the south to visit over the winter? Some Michigan guys looking to go south and get some riding in for a few days. So far we are looking at Monster Mountain.

Any states in particular? I've heard FTT is one for the records. Swan MX and Three Palms in Texas ain't too shabby.

Here some tracks not terribly far from Monster:
War Eagle MX in Auburn, practice track only open on weekends but a fun track.
County Line MX Fountain Fl. near Panama City FL. https://www.facebook.com/CLMX-County-Line-Motocross-109101102474138/
WW Ranch just West of Jacksonville Fl. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ww-Ranch-Mx/496152743757637
Waldo Motorsports Waldo Fl. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=waldo%20motorsports
Orlando MX Park East of Orlando https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=orlando%20mx%20park
Highland Park near Cedartown Ga. https://www.facebook.com/HighlandParkResort/?pnref=lhc

Occasionally Echeconnee MX park is opened by Matt Walker but only 1 weekend a month or so. https://www.facebook.com/MattWalkerRacing?fref=hovercard
CKB MX near Fort Valley Ga. another fun practice track open only on weekends. https://www.facebook.com/ckbmxtrack/?hc_ref=SEARCH
These two tracks are about 10 minutes from each other.

I live in SE Georgia so don't know too much about the tracks West of Monster.

Hope this helps

So many options. I'm sure there are some nice places in Flordia. I live in Chattanooga but 3 must do tracks for me would be Fast Farms in Altamont, TN. Mill Creek in Pell City, Alabama (2 hrs north of Monster) and of course Monster.

Looks like Echeconnee will be open Dec. 19. There is a track called Hillbilly Hills, west of Echeconnee.

Gatorback in Gainesville, FL. Don't know if they have open practice.

Highland Park has very good trails and a cool natural terrain track. Durhamtown has multiple tracks.

Plan your trip around echeconnee being open, it's the best track in the south in my opinion followed closely by Bostwick creek in green cove springs fl. WW is an awesome place as well and it's a short drive from bostwick. I personally think Waldo is trash but if you're nearby I guess hit that, and I've never ridden pax but have heard good things about it.

Fast farms is a great track. Highland park is a good do all facility. Track and like 90 miles of trails. Also, in case it wasn't mentioned you have to hit Monster hahaha.

Driving to california is a little far, we want to head South to whatever tracks are open during the winter. Do tracks stay open year round in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida?

I would message them on their Facebook pages and ask them.

Monster Mountain has been for a few years but right now there is some question as to when he will start being open 7 days a week. In previous years it was right after Christmas.
I believe many of the Florida tracks are open during the week. I know WW Ranch has been the last couple of years.

I don't know of any tracks in Georgia that are open 7 days a week with prep. I have never been to the Cairo area where all the practice facilities are so I don't know if they have open riding.

Atmore MX is an hour south of Monster in Atmore, AL. Its killer. Then head another 2 hours south to Milton MX in Milton, FL then east another hour and you are at County Line MX.

I suggest going to Three Palms MX and taking a trip to the Oklahoma/Texas border and going to Red River Motorcycle Trails, they hosted the Red Bull Last Man Standing 4 years and have some of the gnarliest terrain available in the country.

Motovated in SC. Go there and thank me later. Beautiful sand track and a clay based track. Owner takes great care of it and it's not far from good places to eat and drink.

Scott Plessinger owned Paradise the last few years it was open. He sold it last year as a hunting club or RV park, I heard both so don't know for sure. Too bad for me as it was only about an hour away and open every weekend.

Just curious last time you hit Waldo? we went yesterday and I thought it had a really fun lay out and was well prepped...Bostwick looks to be adding a bunch of new red clay....

OP look up the Winter AM schedule, gatorback now has 2 tracks, WW is fun but to big for meSmile , also MX of Marion is a great track..PAX Trax for a SX type layout....North FL MX for a fun easy day, probably the best dirt around..

would think FL has the bet bang for the buck as far as variety of tracks all within an hours or so....

Fast Farms in TN and Monster Mountain in Bama also gets a thumbs up from me, you can't go wrong with those if around the area. Good people and good fun, rode them both a bunch this year and always leave happy.

If you plan to go to Monster Mountain be sure to have a few other tracks picked out because if it rains the track will be closed until it dries up. I've always liked County Line Mx in Florida. It's very relaxed there and is usually not packed. Lots of Canadians come down for the winter. There are some good tracks that are on the way in between those two tracks, just can't remember them right now. I like to stay in the Florida panhandle region because it is less populated. The main part of Florida I just don't like, seems like every time I stop at a store a meth head asks for a few bucks.

Fast Farms has dirt like the old Red Bud track. No sand, to get into some MI type dirt you need to go south of the AL state line. Check out Mill Creek in Pell City AL. Lots of info on the net.

I've never understood the hype around fast farms I've been there around 10 times now and I have never once had fun there. I know a lot of people like it but I've had more fun riding up and down my driveway than I have ever had at that place. For me if I was coming south to take the ultimate moto trip it would be Monster,Sand Mtn,Mclarty's mx its not a very long track but has one of the best and most layouts I've ever seen, Hotshots mx in KY,and Durhamtown they have 6 or 7 tracks tons of trails restaurant on site etc its just a good place to get away for a few days.

As everyone has said; monster mountain, Highland park, Durhamtown, sand mountain.
Highland Park only has 1 "real" mx track. Called MX2. Call ahead to see if it's opened. They have 3 other tracks, and God only knows how many miles of single track. Enough single track you could ride it all day and not hit the same trail twice. They no longer maintain the old track though, and nobody rides it. It's sketchy to say the least. So really if MX2 is closed, they have 2 tracks.
FYI, they have real bathrooms. With showers.

There's a track in Shannon, Georgia. Not far from HP. Never prepped. But it's an awesome lay out. Worth the $5 IMO. If you go, just pull in and start unloading. Steve or somebody will come around and have ya sign the waiver/collect your money.
Bring spare tubes to this track.

There's a track right off I75 called pro edge mx. I haven't ridden there since I was a kid, called chattanooga MX back then. It was pretty fun back then, no clue if it's still the same. Been closed all year for renovations, so it may not be open when you come down. If it's open, probably worth staying a night in Chattanooga and then hitting the track on your way down into Georgia.

Durhamtown and Highland Park both offer camping, bike service, parts, gear, food, etc. Highland Park is where I usually get parts for my bike (KTM) more often than not they'll have what I need in stock.

Btw, we haven't gotten rain in months. Even the yard is turning into a dust bowl. Expect dust. Lots of dust. Even if we get some rain before ya come down, it'll still be dusty.
