Yes. If you have a baller lifted diesel truck that is worth $30,000, but you owe $35,000 to the bank, then you are not balling. You are negative balling by $5000, and then you consider the $2000 you charged to the credit card for fuel hostage rims and it's negative balling by $7000. So in affect, my Crown Vic is more baller cause thats $1800 all day baby with title in hand.

Its called debt to assets ratio. Savings account is asset so yeah, you count that. A 1988 Yamaha Blaster is not an asset though, even with a title. Even if its clean. That's a burden on society.
This, so freaking this except the Blaster, those are dope.

Anyone can owe 50k on a Porche or 500k on a house. But who can go pull 100k out of the bank if they wanted to?

I kmow who the biggest baller here is and he's even posted in this thread with probably the oldest car in the thread.

Ow in that case my wife owes me around 200K after 11 years but i'm kinda sure she's paying her dept in natural iou's !

In al seriousness i do feel that being healthy is very important and has less to do with money so in that part myself the misses and our 3 kids r blessed with good health ( apart from the blown out acl i'm currently dealing with )

I do live in a shithole called Belgium so i would say i'm in the top 0% richest people in the world

I agree sir, anything above what I cited is fine, but if you get right down to it, its just showin' off.

Ask anyone in hospice care what the value of a Bugatti is and see what the answer is.

But I do like seeing the toys all these guys have! Very cool stuff.

I can't tell you Newman's net worth, buy I know he is an extremely good person so he wins in a lot of ways already.

The guy I'm referring to posted a car about 40 years older then Nemans.

My neighbor has two homes and 5 collectible cars (including an original 427 Cobra that currently resides in a museum). I also have a friend with 3 original Hemi cars, and a Duesenberg. I couldn't pay cash for any of them!

People have said this several times in this thread. But yeah, good physical and mental health (and spiritual health IMO) is among the most valuable stuff on Earth. When you are young, you take it for granted, but anyone with a significant scare understands it well.

As I hit 30, I still didn't place much value on health - and I was talking with a neighbor who was 50 (and is a bonafide millionaire) and he disclosed that nugget to me. He said, "If you want to invest in something, invest in your health." As I approach 40 it means a lot more to me now.

Everything is relative...

I own my home, my 69 Mach 1 mustang, my brand new 2016 F150, my four motorcycles, my four bicycles, my wife's 2013 CRV, I have clear title to 120 acres and have money in the bank. All told well over a mil in the black with no debts.

Friends, it means nothing and I would trade it all to have my wife cured of cancer.

There you go ^. God speed my friend. And one brutal reality...none of us are gonna make it out of here, so is there ever a time when any of it is really "valuable."

Sorry to hear of your wife's battle with cancer. Hopefully she can fight strong.

Things like that put everything in perspective. Someone can have "everything" and still not have the thing they wish for the most.

Hopefully you and your wife have shared some amazing experiences and will continue to get to do so for a long time to come.

People often underestimate the importance of health and how quickly life can change.

There has to be a balance between life and "living." Like you said, none of us are getting out of here alive. I've seen plenty of people save for everything and have something catastrophic happen and miss out on living. As with most things, balance and moderation are key.

I work in the financial industry and always say financed bling ain't real bling..............I don't know everyone on Vital's financials but there is a posterwho probably tops most if not all on here and I don't think he has posted in this thread. Nice guy with a great family and worked his way up from basically nothing to worth $$$$$$$$$$$$$...........

I like the turn this thread is taking. I have done well for myself, better then some and not as good as most, and While yes, toys are cool, the price you pay to get "stuff" is not always worth it.

I'll tel you young guys who want it all this, wealth comes with a price. Dont understand? Follow along, while I have done well for myself in life it has come at the expense of time, time I'll never get back. My family hasnt been in need of anything in 18 years, theyve had everything theyve needed, except me. My wife knew how I was when we married so she understood the amount of time I put into work. My kids on the other hand just wanted me and for the most part didnt get me.

I would give up anything to get back the passed 20 years of my life and to have just settled, then maybe me and my older kids would have a relationship now. I had along talk with my 19 yearold son last week, he asked me if I remember the RC plane I bought him when he was 12, I said yes, he said do you realize its still in the box because I've been waiting for you to help me build and fly it? Dont think that hurt?

Anyways, stuff is exacly that, stuff, its the legacy you leave behind that matters.

Cats in the cradle. I have had enough to get by for the most part but made sure to never miss a dance recitals or race for my kids and have great relationships with all of them.

Some of the biggest baddest ballers don't need confirmation from people in the way of badass toys to know theyre doing alright....

Exactly what some have previously said, you can have all the stuff in the world but if you don't have someone who loves and supports you, relationships with the people most important to you, then you're as broke as they come regardless what your statements say

LOL, I can assure you that while I am "winning" at some personal level, I am in no way winning any baller category. Like others, myself, wife, two sons, daughter in law and brand new grand daughter are all happy and healthy. Well, all except young son who is floating around the Mediterranean for 8 months with no land in sight on a ship that hasn't deployed in over a decade. He isn't so happy at the moment.Laughing I keep telling him it will make him appreciate everything back here at home all that much more. Just keep marking off those days.

I know a few Vitards who are off the charts "baller" and they have not even posted in any of these threads. They are well into that Top 1% and are killing it. I think I do "okay" with a pretty successful little small business now in year 20 and fast approaching 30 pieces of rental property. I do have a bit of debt on some properties and the wife's new car but my debt is very manageable and less than 20% of my net worth. Credit cards get paid off monthly, never any interest or finance charges on them. Don't ever get sucked into credit card debt. My last week long vacation was back in 2010 by the way, the joys of owning a "small" business. Blush

And Rupert wins for scoring such a smoking deal on that house and land of his. Cool

Irony is when Vitards get into an 11 page dick measuring contest in what was intended as a joke thread.
