Thanks Jon! We appreciate any and all support! It's been a blast for sure and hopefully we can do it again!! As for getting down from what all the (experts) on here have to say, that will never happen!! I just have to laugh

Eric please don't take what these morons say to heart. I've read some of the most idiotic comments in my life on this forum. You guys did great on your limited budget and support. Look forward to hearing what your 2017 plans are.

I met you guys at Redbud and 100% your my favorite team. You guys seem like real/normal dudes.

Can you comment on next years plans at all? I know the season just got over, I am just curious.

Major teams replace every single component other than the frame and major suspension components, no one bats an eye.

Two kids and a sprinter van, with a 125 run every national, without replacing a bottom end, and it spins a crank bearing, Huskys are junk.

Vital logic.

If everyone was racing on the same budget you'd see everyone have everyone on every bike.

I went to both CA nationals just for Stankdogs braaapage.
It was glorious, and hilarious at the same time.

You could always find him on the track like finding a wave in a stadium by listening to the crowd cheering.

Nobody even cared who was ahead or behind. People love that smell and sound.

Just gonna do my part so the reclinercrossers
Have something to complain about next summer too!

For next year I wanna get in touch with someone at Pure Leaf Tea Company to get onboard. Think it would be rad to get an outside sponsor involved Cool

He definitely had an abnormal number of failures. It's not like he's the first guy to ride a 125 hard. I never recall one guy having that many issues.

It was still a great run. I'm a big fan and I hope others follow his lead next year. I was more interested in his result than anyone outside the top three.

Congrats! Get the bike sorted out for 2017! Braaaap!!

When it is all said and done, it is still a 125 Husky. Albeit way better than the 70's yellow tank 125 huskys...but still a 125 HastyVarmit. (Mild sarcasm there. I know this is a KTM design. And that it is a dang good motor)

Good on Gared for doing as much as he did.

Cool, for those who love you thrashing a 2 stroke to death awesome....for us others watching racers we would rather watch someone else, most likely someone who is running in the top ten Smile

Dont take that as hating on you, just different strokes (excuse the pun) for different folks.

Every single thing about stankdog appeals to your weekend warrior. He is the ultimate weekend warrior at such a disadvantage.

Hope he gets a chance to do it again. He said he uses his arenacross money to fund the 125 tour. Hope that changes for next year with some support.

Nah. They don't even have a Sprinter. They have a $2000 Econoline.

They probably put nearly as many parts on that as on the bike.

I may have missed it, and there is something cool about the 125, but have they mentioned about the possibility of a 250 smoker in the 450 class? Benefits i can see in a 250 is longer maintenance intervals, a relatively smaller hp gap and you're still on a two strok. It could be like stank 2.0 next year. It seems guys who have tried on 250's have had more luck qualifying and scoring points than the 125's. I know it was southwick and all but still, look at Robbie Marshall. Two 250's made it in that day and he was sitting in P5 in qualifying for a while. There are a ton of people who can ring out a 125 for all its got but a 250 stands a better chance especially with Gareds talent he would have more to work with. Imo of course. Not to mention the 450 class usually gets pretty depleted and stank has the talent but could probably benefit from a little more bike.

They seem both equally at a disadvantage. The lites, because in that class, power is still King, and factory bikes are designed, in a best case scenario, to grenade two hours after the moto. The bigs, because there are some money-supported efforts focused all the way even beyond the top 20.

What Stankdog and Eric have done these last two summers is more then most teams have done in years. Get fans out to the races to support a rider no matter what position he gets. I went to four nationals this year and every time Stankdog went around the cheers, horns, and fans going wild when he went by was louder then anyone on the track. Gared and Eric are some of the most approachable riders/mechanic in the pits, spends time with his fans and every race no matter what he has a smile on and he's doing it for the FANS. The video series Tom has made just was the icing on the cake with bringing the average fan into the aspect of what it takes a privateer to get to each race and the highs and lows. Anyway I can I will support Stankdog and crew, from buying his shirts to providing donations. Thank you Gared, Eric, and Tom for the entertainment throughout the summer and bringing old school two smokes back to the nationals. Hope you come back next year with better support and anyway I can contribute to your journey let me know! Thanks!

I guess those in positions 20-40 aren't racing nor are they racers.

Truth. We went to both CA rounds.
Otherwise none. Crowd going nuts for the two stroke.

Even Non moto fans had their guy. Their guy was giving it hell.
And thats good enough. These are the guys that buy oil parts and shit from Motosport.

GS726 and eric killed it this year!! period! reminded all of us what MOTO is truly about. riding your dirtbikes with your buddies because its fun . he basically had the least modified bike on the gate.. truly jealous of those guys. traveled the country racing top level moto on a dying breed of a bike. watched gs at southwick and buds.. we brought the air horns just for stank..

my buddy has a 2016 ktm125sx he had problems with sucking dirt/sand in his vent hoses, causing it not to run right. sounds like maybe water got sucked in the vent lines? the 2016 husky/ktm is a new engine, growing pains are expected.. look at the tranny failures on the 250f ktms being reported.. sounds like ktm saved a lil too much weight.

Pretty simple really, most fans watch the guys who are in the top ten.. Eric probably being the major exception to that given his 2 stroke fan base.

Eric, I'm waiting on husky tc250 in couple weeks. I'm a small and would've preferred 125. I was nervous when I heard of the parts failures you had. Do you think husky/ Ktm made changes to 2017 models gears or main bearings after your experiences ?? Any suggestions to help them live ?
Thanks!
My buddy and I flew to my Morris last year, slopped through the mud and rain, and got to say hi in pits, was worth it just to see you guys battling the big teams and we went home hoarse from cheering.

Why respond at all then?

Nothing of value was offered up and even though you said "don't take that as me as hating" it does come across that way or you wouldn't have had to say it.

Sorry it just doesn't seem right given the guy was just saying he won't let people bother him (so you try to bother him).

Went to Unadilla and he is def a racer. He carried a lot of momentum and got over jumps that others were struggling with.
