Check out this weeks racerhead where there is a write up on Roczen trying to ride the last model year of the RM 250 and the bullshit AMA, who should have the moto publics best interest, shuts him down!

THE FIRST TIME I EVER RIDE WITH TARE OFFS AT CYCUL RANCH ANTOHER BIG BIKE COVERD ME IN MUD AND I GO INTO A TURN WITH BIG BRAKING BUMPS AND TRY TO PULL IT BUT THE BIKE BARS GOD SIDE TO SIDE REAL FAST I REMEMBER AN I CRASH IN THE TURN.
It is NOT the AMA doing this. They do not sanction the Pro nationals last time I checked.
The logo you see and they are referring to is the AMA Pro Racing logo. That logo is owned by Daytona Motorsports Group. They purchased the rights to the Pro Nationals years ago.
The AMA in Ohio has no say in the rules for Pro National motocross. The only connection as we all learned with JS7 is that the AMA in Ohio is the group that issues the rider license.
So unless anything has changed and I don't think it has there are two different AMA's. AMA (Ohio) runs Amateur motocross rules and AMA Pro Racing (DMG) runs the rules for Pro Motocross. They are NOT connected and when you pay your dues it goes to AMA Ohio.
SX has nothing to do with this at all! That is a whole different story.

We knew his bike wouldn't meet homologation, but its just funny that someone thought it was newsworthy. You can read back and see DC, the AMA, and Honda's stance on 2-strokes and where they are headed.

Yes, they're building him up a two-stroke, but the bike isn't even done, and is sitting in Chino, CA. The engine has been at Pro Circuit for a while.
I'm not sure how he'd have raced a non-functional bike that's in California while he's here in Indiana, but carry on...

I will now step down from my soap box but I mean every word of the above.

At the very root of it , I mean the very root......it's the manufactures that don't want to see an older bike out there beating any of their new machines. It gets people thinking " Why do I need a $10,000 4 stroke when that 10yr old 2 stroke just smoked it? "
Post a reply to: AMA not letting Roczen ride a two stroke!
