Roger was winning with other brands including Honda long before his last two stints. Suzuki has more problems than losing Roger. He does make success more likely, but so does the product, and Suzuki has not done anything to make people want one. It doesnt matter that Kenny and James can go fast on a bike you cannot buy.

Sure there are brand loyal buyers out there, but even they are restless for something to make them want to dish out their hard earned money. To be a leader you have to release a product that will steal the brand loyal buyers, which is what KTM has done, and Yamaha is stealing the rest of the undecideds. Suzuki is trying to be Honda, but it aint no Honda!
Dave Arnold was the man behind the success of team honda from 1979 until mid 90s, not Roger.

Dave was a player very much. And he accomplished plenty. Honda hasn't been the same without the man as well. In fact their 90's success was the king mc.

for sure, but if you had your choice would you sign with roger ktm or Suzuki with webb. roc earned it and not saying he didn't, but looking at the track record after rogers departure its not the same place.

I would too. But if suzuki and ktm was offering, Orange would be choice..

Dear God if Suzuki doesn't update the plastics on the RMZ next year we're all in for it. Let's continue to ignore the fact that the 2016 shares little in common with the 2008 besides the plastic.

It could lose a few pounds and gain a little HP, I will admit.
Nearly all the parts from my 2009 fit my 2015.

It really is the same bike but yes, those small little refinements make a really big difference.

But stock, it's the heaviest bike and not as powerful as the yam, ktm and kawi.

Suzuki has one of the best bikes at the factory level. One of the best bikes at the stock level. Two of the best teams in the pits, in terms of resources, research and development, personnel and riders, They have the backing of Yoshimura R&D Behind them, who by the way develope engines and components for several Factory level teams in the pits and have a world wide strong hold on the offroad and street market concerning motorcycles.

What in the actual fuck are you talking about?

So Decoster is the sole reason for KTM's success now is he?

Not solely, but I believe he brings success with him. Dungey followed him yes?
Oh I'm not saying that the guy hasn't helped, but he has joined a process that was already well in motion as far as the growth of KTM is concerned. I'm not so sure if he stayed at Suzuki they would have had the same success just because he was there, so I'm not sure they have anything to eat crow about. I just think that at the time he and Dungey left Suzuki they didn't have the budget it keep them. Also, although Roger is an extremely clever guy, I feel that a large part of his strategy for success is just employing the best rider

Suzuki did just that. Twice. Don't think it had anything to do with money.

I think right now Kawi is putting mega R&D on the street side. The new zx10r which is very trick and that supercharged H2.

As DV said Suzuki did nt win shit ,untill they signed RC. Everyone said the bike was crap because they did nt win . yet the bike was every bit as good if not better than the yamaha in 01. Then they payed the money to buy the best rider and they win , people think bike is great all of a sudden . Then KTM didnt win shit . They higher AC222 ,and suddenly won , The bike must be great . Yet it is very well know that the bike was a piece of crap and has been untill the latest version . If you buy the best riders you will win end of story . People say the Suzuki is to old to be any good . yet in loads of shootouts this year ktm won the shootout and husky finished last . THEY ARE THE SAME BLOODY BIKE. yet one wins and one is last . it just shows that all these bike are too good for anyone but a pro ,and have been for year s . People saying a 450cc 50 plus HP bike ,is too slow . come on people . !!

I like Suzuki and that bike is still good but man they are paying a lot of money to some very good riders for a few years now and i would be expecting a lot more.
That's the real problem. They put all their eggs in a rotten basket.

JS7 has had them on a three year suck-fest.

Not even close to the same bikePinch ...and for ffs people, Suzuki isn't bankrupt. They closed their North American auto division because it wasn't doing well, that's it. You realize Suzuki outboard motors are one of the highest rated, and most popular sellers in the marine industry? Go to any marina around here, and it's Suzuki and Yamaha outboards/kickers on most of the boats..now think world wide. Suzuki as a company is doing just fine.

Do not engage him, he cannot accept that Suzuki's motorcycle division lost money for a few years...and last year they actually turned a profit....of less that $1 million.

Their auto market is doing well though...

MXA said dirt bike sales are 1/20th of what they were "before racing was on live tv". If thats even halfway true, is the racing even helping? If you were the decision maker, do you invest in two mx bikes, or a four wheeled something people will buy?

Does anybody realize that DeCoster could have totally stayed at Suzuki, they DID offer him one year. They couldnt PROMISE him more than that, but of course they would have rehired him. Decoster wasnt loyal to Suzuki, he ran for the money

Point made... Everyone makes dumb decisions I guess... Honda letting Cooper Webb get away for one... Only kid I see
that could dust off the 2 strokes on that Honda 150f... In Superminis...

Is this James fill in rider? He looks a little heavy (and hairy), but looks to be carrying good speed. Heard rumors that he may be Russian.
