Well I'm too busy and old to race anymore, but if I was younger and still heavily involved in racing on a regular basis, I would seriously consider buying something like that. As it is, I only have time to take my 250 out to the track behind my house maybe a half dozen times a year.
Oh, to be young again.

A funny thing I heard last week:

"When are Honda going to make a 350?"

"They already do - it's called the CRF450"

Impressive how they got the round steel cradle tubes to mate with the alloy frame. Probably easy for ship builders with 1 inch tolerance.

These threads get bashed here all the time. And probably nobody at Kawasaki is listening. I haven't owned a KX in a really long time, but in my heart I'm still a Kawi guy. As long as all they continue to offer are 250/450 four strokes they will not see any of my money. If they offered a 250, 350 or even a 150 two stroke I would gladly give them my green so I could ride green again. I can't be the only one.....

I like this version... Not gonna lie, I prefer the 4-strokes hands down but this thing would be fun...

This is wayyyy more like it. This bike needs to be made. You would have WWIII if this bike was made. Honda, the AMA, and US SX/MX promoters would go to the nth degree to put Kawasaki out of business and ruin them from ever making another motorcycle again, If Kawasaki even hinted at making something like this.

A 250 that can be easily converted to off road via a Genuine kit, (some wide ratio gears, lighting coil and power valve governer spring) and that also had a 320-350? kit available to it which includes cylinder, head, piston kit, jets and pipe, so you could build it to whatever spec you want. The standard CDI could be already loaded with various maps to suit any of these applications to keep upgrade costs down. Custom suspension these days is a given to most riders so something in the middle of MX and off road would cover the bases for a start up showroom bike, and probably work acceptable for 70% of riders lol.

it's cool. I wish we all had this software so we could throw out some crazy designs. however it still "looks" like a 2 stroke in a 4 stroke body, whereas the KTMs and Husqvarna's look right with a 2 stroke motor. this just doesn't have a "race forward" aesthetic imo.

Those old Ktm 380cc were pretty bad fast and easy to ride. Local track had a $100 holeshot contest. I rode my dads 380. Older guy on another 380 beat me.. I liked it better than 500s, that i raced.

The KX125 rumour was not a joke or an Internet rumour. I KNOW for a fact that Kawasaki were talking to wholesalers/importers about a KX125 pre-launch of 2013 bikes. My guess is they want to get the EFI perfected before a launch. The big, "slow" japs are not letting the late importance and re-rise of 125cc bikes go unnoticed, and if any of the big four have resources, time and devotion to build a new 125, my bet is on the Kawasaki Motor department.

Cool, IF Kawasaki brought out a KX350 I would not get a 450 4 stroke Whistling

Cant care too less if it was a 125 though Smile But kudos to them if they do Tongue

I am really excited! What's written above is all I know, and I've not gotten a confirmed message, but I do know they let wholesalers know of it. Basically told wholesalers to take pre-orders on them, but nothing came out of it, (yet?? Smile )

This.

There are already good options out there. Many just want to see them from the other Japanese brands for nostalgic purposes or whatever.

There's always a bike from the past that was awesome that people wish they'd make again, and for that there is the Yamaha YZ's.

And if you want something a bit more updated, you got the KTM options. Previously the excuse was hating the color orange. That excuse no longer applies with Husky in the mix.

There are plenty of 2 stroke options. If people havent bought one by now, a 350-fi from Kawi isnt going to change things IMO. But that's just my guess. And as pretty as these photoshop jobs are, Im not sure why anyone would want a twin sparred aluminum framed 2 stroke anyways other than looks. Steel is the way to go.
