CC has worked hard and deserves everything he is earning right now and he should enjoy it.
I've read through this whole deal and this above is correct. Who are we to judge anybody?

1. Christian is a class act and a family man, I hope the best of success for him. He is a talent!

2. The guys warning us to move along, nothing to see here only makes us want to know more but can't but that's fine.

3. Mike Craig hasn't been hit up on PulpMx podcast trail yet, would be great to hear from him about his mx career. His personal life, none of our business.

4. Craig, father and son, have/had sick style on an mx bike!

As a dad who is into moto with his kids, Christian bringing his son out on the podium was a very cool thing. If he did have issues with his father him breaking the pattern is something to be proud of...................

Back around the time of Mike's prime time it is really good that the internet and social media was not like now..........because there are so many skeletons in so many closets of almost everyone in the spotlight of the sport back in that day a place like this would have completely blown up!!!!!! I really like Mike, we all know his shortcomings but we all have ours (to one extent or another). He's brutally honest about his and he's a very proud Dad of Christian. When he's not grinding away at 10-12 hour days training at the track with everyone else's kid he is watching Christian at the test track or talking about Jagger. My interaction with him has been nothing but positive, sometimes I get to know a little more than I wanted but so be it. He's done a great job helping my kid at the track and I appreciate him and his hard work.

I watched this 1993 250 main event live at the Pontiac SX and Mike Craig had an unbelievable ride and it opened my eyes to his talent, and he was on lesser equipment than his peers. Great main event!!

Check it out from about the 2:50 mark to see Craig and Guy Cooper taking a line that scared the shit out of the King.

That was nuts! Cooper and Craig airing it out over an entire whoop section! Thanks for posting I've never seen that.

I was around for a lot of years with the Craig's when Christian was younger. I was there for a lot of good times and unfortunately a lot of bad, none of which are really anyone's business here.

What would be a very cool for me to see is Christian holding a number 1 plate, with his in laws, a clean Mike, his mom, his brother Jeremy, wife and Jagger.

It appears that Christian is trying to do his own thing and not live in his dad's shadow and that's not a bad thing. If that is what he is doing.

Christian was bound for greatness at 2. Most talented toddler at anything he ever did. It came from his dad. Mike pushed him to do things that were mind blowing, even at that age. It is very cool to see him doing what he is doing now.

I lost touch with them years ago, don't know much about the situation now but hope nothing but the best for them all. I know his mom sacrificed and did a lot to go to races, I know Mike maybe wasn't in the best of places but Christian wouldn't be where he is today if it weren't for him in someways.

Andy, even Clowers was on the young end...of shit that went down in the 80s and early 90s.

You'd know the mid 90s and later for sure. Good to see you're doing well.

Yup!

Not sure who you are but you got it right.

I know a lot of people have Mike Craig stories, but I was fortunate to know the other side of Mike too. His family, his ex wife and him did a lot of good for me. Unfortunatley, we had a falling out and I haven't spoke to him for years.

But even through it all, the coolest thing would be to see Christian and them all holding that plate. They have all been through a lot. I know a lot of it was self inflicted but still...
Roger that Andy. I'm sure Mike now probably looks back at a lot of stuff and would take back some of the stuff he said and did

I don't hold grudges for that kind of stuff... he was young, dumb, full of cum, and hormones and other things make people do shit they normally wouldn't.
I look back at it all now and laugh.
Hopefully some day you guys can clear the air.

We can speculate all day on subjects such as why Stewart pulls out of a race, and we can pile on insults about him.

Then we have legitimate information of immoral behavior off-track, and we're supposed to hush about it out of respect?

I've been around mike Several times since Christian is just a couple years older then my kid and we were at some of the same races over the years. Yes mike has had his problems but hell, who hasn't. He is a human just like every other swinging dick here. If we all put as much effort into policing our own lives and stop trying to micro manage the lives of the people that are bad asses in something that we are all fans of, most idiots here wouldn't have anything to say.

Why is there always a chic like you that shows up when a thread gets bumpy. People talk about shit...boohoo! It's all good for Christian and Mike is paying some price for being a bit of a dummy in his life at times...putting himself ahead of others. Just another day in family life for some! No big deal

Watching Christian Craig ride is like getting another chance to watch Millsaps come up, such great style, tall broad shoulders that just seem to float the front of the bike around while the bike remains upright... super cool.

Respect for Christian. He didnt really get a say in anything back then. No reason to drag long ago dirt.
Also there are far too many rumors about Mike and his Kid to count.

As mentioned prior by someone, there was alot of shit back then and while some true some false there were alot of rumors about anything and everything. So its best to leave it alone.

Watching him motor around the sand sweeper at A2 like he was on a trail ride before hitting those gnarly whoops was awesome. Kid has a great riding style for sure.

I don't know either of the Craig's but I do know the kid can ride a scooter like a bad mofo and he has a few wins in him no doubt. Good luck kid.

All i will say on this thread is that Christian is THE most stylish current rider. I love seeing him ride, and he will do really good on a 450 in SX.

Go CC ! A French fan !
Man, no kidding. Beautiful, beautiful rider.
Is he on a 450 for the Nationals? Maybe next year? Just going to say
that if somehow we saw a Craig/Pourcel battle, it would probably be a masterpiece.

"They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

Ever have maybe a beer too many and drive home?

"to feel such sorrow for sin or fault as to be disposed to change one's life for the better; be penitent."
"to remember or regard with self-reproach or contrition: to repent one's injustice to another."

How bout those morals?

And people would rather not talk about it as CC should not be punished for something he has already had to live through and with. It's his moment in the sunshine and people want to dig up the past. No, you keep throwing them rocks then.

Being a professional rider and a public figure, this kind of intrigue comes with the job. If we were involved in bigger sports journalists would have told this story in detail already. Personally, Im not interested in Mike Craig's past, I just remember him as a kid watching supercross races on VHS tapes in the UK winters, was it Honda of Troy he was on? A predominantly white Honda? I just remember him being the stylish bad ass that would occasionally beat MC.

Back to Christian, I feel like theres a few racers out there that could learn from Christian's hiatus.

Get out of the sport, do some living, grow and gain a new appreciation for your own skill and your position in the sport. Then come back as an independent free thinking man, rather than a boy following the only path you know. Feel like theres something healthy and cathartic about breaking your yearly cycle like that - no matter what you do in life. Heck, I guess he just had a big "gap year", haha.

As a bench racer, you have to wonder if the same kind of break could do a guy like Wilson some good.
I happened to catch a Euro supercross (germany I think) on Eurosport around 1994 or 1995 and Mike Craig was the fucking dude at that meeting. Had a huge crash throwing a big whip during a heat race but still won the main event.

He rode number 17 then and it sort of stuck with me and became my favored race number for a long time.

Some useless info for you all there!
