No one wants to wear chest protectors because they "don't do anything" yet they all wear knee braces that have, in my eyes, reasonably questionable effectiveness.

How bad would his knee have been without a knee brace?

Why apologize for your opinion, we all have them good and bad. And get criticized good and bad. Goes both ways

Hot Sauce is RCH's test rider and also on the injured list himself.
1/24/2016 10:11pm
Based on the racerx post about him, it may not be that bad. They said the team sidelined him after practice and they were going to see how he felt for the night show. If he'd blown his acl, he probably would've known right away and packed it in for the night without waiting to see. He's popped one before, so he knows the uncanny feeling that you get when you rupture that ligament.

You should really just apologize for your comment with no fact behind it. We are still waiting for the five better riders, hell I would even take 3. I am ok with harsh, as long as it's actually true.

IMHO you're wrong. Getting off a 4 year old bike and back onto a KTM with arguably the best bike and team support with all kinds of suspension to choose from would be an improvement. No objective view supports the idea that RCH and Suzuki is a better combo and offers more than KTM and the Redbull factory team.
All kinds of suspension to choose from? He can only ride WP stuff.

He can run Showa or KYB at Suzuki. More options.

Up until his dumb mistake at Oakland last year, he proved the Suzuki can win.

Dungey would be doing the same thing on the Suzuki. He is just that good.

Not having Baker will be his biggest downfall IMO

Why not wait and see how bad the knee is before you write his whole life off.

Get well soon Dean Bro!

Why is it the same riders constantly are getting hurt. Is it caused by riding over there heads, lack of training, or consistant bad luck?

Was that supposed to be funny? Do yourself a favor, leave the jokes for the comedians, or peelout.

um...yes, but only only for those that aren't looking at their monitor or phone thru Nancyboy tears. I guess you know Dean personally and/or are his keeper. Thanks for the advice however.

Why, in 2016, do people believe in things like "luck" or a lack of it?

The dude has had two cadaver'd knees for about 4 years. Of course stabbing it in a turn for a guy like that is more detrimental than a guy who's had no knee injuries.

I will say though, this is starting to lend creedance to the good ol' boy theory of being built like a marathon runner and not a collegiate wrestler seems to lend itself to fragility.

The cartridge unit on the CV forks are the exact same between 52mm and 48mm, they literally interchange. Ken Roczen also ran the 48mm version during his time there...
