When racing in dust was not an issue.

When the flyer said "Rain or Shine" and it meant it.

When fuel, a few extra spark plugs, a chain, one extra air filter, and about 5 tools were all you needed to bring, if that. (Well of course you brought duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer as well.)

You race in the over 40 class , cos you have been racing over 40 years.

Bunny Ward wasn't a hospital for sick Rabbits.

New Years day was always spent in Shropshire

You have goggles older than your kids .. who are old enough to drive

you had a trailer

My dad shot this picture of Bradshaw at Axton in the summer of 1988 shortly before he turned pro. I got it signed at Gatorback the next year.

We were on our summer vacation camping in the area and while out driving around just happened to see a sign for the track advertising racing that weekend. We went back for the races and watched Bradshaw and Sean Dukes duel it out in the 125A and 250A classes.

Looks like that may be the old "Triple Rollercoaster Jump". First person I saw clear that was Koji Masuda in a Trans-Am race around '75-'76 ish.

If you raced against sleeved down 125cc bikes and the bike shop charged you $30 to bore your cylinder to the next piston size up.
