(No doubt there is some clause in the rule book that would allow them to do this)
This is not how our sport should be portrayed to the world.
He maybe, but we are mostly not Rednecks.
Yeah, you CAN call me an asshole and be a Christian, you're totally entitled to that opinion. Just as I'm entitled to think Cooper is an immature idiot, but he redeemed himself in the second interview.
And yeah, I figured I'd soften the blow instead of stooping down to your level and I edited my post. But no, I won't apologize. It doesn't upset me at all when people address their religious beliefs. What upsets me is their hypocrisy and immaturity. Webb is a damn good rider. I just think he needs to cool it with the mixed signals on the podium.
Coop needs Snickers...
To be honest, although I like his style on the bike, I did not like much Webb after some epics interviews (i.e. the french didnt want none"). Now after this second moto interview I understand better why he has so much fans. Not a bad "kid", just a "bad ass" with personality and a big desire to win, I quite like that ! Props to him for admitting he was a bit too hot after moto 1 (like we would be after battling hard a full moto), there is just a bit of Herlings in him
Pit Row
He reminds me of a little yappy puppy that is yet to get really bitten
Mx is more of a fight than many other motorsports and sometimes that raw emotion will follow thru to the podium.
And mx is inherently redneck.
Yeah I'm not on dog food, I'm not even really sure what that means and I'm not sure why it would change my opinions on MX if I was.. Anyway I don't think he is the top guy, one of them yeah but his team mate who is the defending champion and points leader has been faster than him in the second motos the last two weeks and Marvin caught and passed him in the first moto this week
Kid has some fire. While being young, he is a professional and should conduct himself as one. I'm sure some sponsors cringed when he had that interview after moto one. And we don't know if he apologized or if someone behind the strings was making that happen. Given previous interviews, it wouldn't surprise me if someone got to him between motos and had a chat.
In a sport that's struggling, we don't need any negativity.
Shane
Maybe. But you have to be there every motos to win it. I know injuries are sometimes bad luck (i.e. Canard, AC), but it tends to hit riders that overide, ride over their head or want to dominate (like JS7, Herlings, RV, Tomac, and I am not bashing as it happened to myself professionnally). It is awesome to watch because it is explosive but there is a much higher probability to be in the hunt 1 championship out of 2 or 3. Race craft (patience) is the definition of Dungey or Cairoli, although right now 222 is injured and I am surprised Dungey (Or Febvre) are still going for it whereas I would be team manager I would paint their room with "Ride at 80%, just lock the championship"
