93 cr 250 with pro action suspenders or either of the 96 cr's.
My 03 cr cuts insides like nothing i've ever ridden, especially coming off a yz 250.
I"d like to ride a late model rm 250, everyone says they have a motor like the 01 cr and handle like a dream.
Thats a great combo.

My 89 CR125, dialed it in went racing. It was light, fast and so flickable. You could land 60ft up hill doubles, land with the brakes on, use the inside line, abuse the clutch and power on over the massive big down hill double near where I lived, it felt like sex on wheels. Honda got that one oh so right.

1979 Maico 440 Magnum that my buddy raced. We switched bikes one weekend and I did not want to give him his Maico back.
For modern bikes I would have to say my son's 02 YZ 250. We did a little suspension work and that was the most precise handling bike I have ever ridden. You would see acceleration bumps but never feel them.

Small bike? 2001 Suzuki RM125. That thing was a razor, and it wasn't so fast that its lack of stability was an issue.

Big bike? 2002 Honda CR250. These bikes had absolutely no ill handling traits AT ALL.

I know I live in the past, but can anybody confirm the 1983 CR250R was awesome in the handling and motor department, spanning several years and brand comparisons?

I had an 83 CR 480 ,it was bad ass . Handled pretty good , turned great and fast . I disconnected the rev limiter by unplugging a blue wire under the tank and it reved to the moon .

I'm hoping the brand new 08 Suzuki RM-Z 450 that I bought last Monday is going to be the best handling bike I ever owned, we'll find out this weekend. Up to this point though I'd say it was my 87 CR 125, I never got so comfortable, so fast, on anything. Not only was it a totally different bike but I was moving up from my 86 KX 80.

My 2000 YZ426 with RG3 suspension.
My 1980 YZ250G with Keystone suspension and a matched and blueprinted engine. That thing barked, it got stolen while I was in the hospital getting my second knee surgery. Fug'n thieves.....

Probably CRF150. Was the most fun to ride. My CRF450 is pretty good. I think I can identify the worst handling bikes easier then the best.

the best handeling bike I have ever ridden would probably be a CR125...but the best handeling modern 4 stroke (450 anyway) would have to be the 06 RMZ450 I briefly had. I would still be riding suzuki's because the bike turned like it was on rails...if only the motor had not been a defective piece of shit and blown up like most 05/06 RMZ450's eventually do

Back in those years, my Honda-Yamaha shop had a good-sized motocross team. I picked one rider in particular to sponsor because he could make his CR480 holeshot every moto he entered and that ment the announcer mentioned his sponsoring shopWoohoo

Nice guy, too.

Stiff, headshaking piece of shit. I used to end up on my ass asking myself 'what did I do wrong?'

98/99 YZ's were good 98/99 YZF's weren't.

Maybe mxpimp never let the clutch out?
It was a joke. HA HA
Never mind.

Truthfully? My KX85 race bike from the beginning of last year when I actually fit it. The suspension was set up perfect, I fit it perfect, and the applied triple clamps suited me really well. I loved that bike ( I think it was a 2007 model). My race bike from this year (restored 2006 RMZ250f) just doesn't compare even with perfectly dialed in Factory Connection suspension. The steel frame just doesn't cut it.
