How did you pick the name you use on here? For some, it is obvious, but for others, not so obvious. Even though my back is pretty much hairless, I just used the first thing that popped into my mind that seemed unique and played on words. Besides, I don't really care if you think I have a sweet coat of man fur growing out of my back. So, what's your story?

Funny ass name
In that case, Flip, the truth is...I have so much man-fur on my back that my wife brushes it every evening. Not only that, when I go to the barber he has to give me two haircuts!

Everytime I'm at the track I feel on or off, so my dad called me switch.

When I was signing up for Vital I didn't have a username in mind, looked at the wall and saw a light switch. Sounded fine.

I had another name on here and wanted to switch it.

I created an account here the day I decided to switch from two stroke to four stroke

One of those is true^

Old supercross series in the Carolinas that a guy named Joe ran that raced at Shelby fairgrounds, old Metrolina speedway, Top Gun and Parker Valley every Saturday night. Used to be a big series around 99-2005. Fun times back then with my old man. 411 was my number.

I used to build and design terrain parks. My favorite tool, other than my trusty snowcat, was the Zaugg- a Swiss made implement that grooms transitions. While it's not MX related, it helped fund the habit.

You guys crack me up. Thanks for explaining.

Hey Zaugg, that's a pretty cool machine. I am having a heck of a time figuring out what is in that picture.

Owned, ridden, raced Maicos. Still own, ride, and race Maicos. Got other several brands in the garage, but still own more Maicos than any other bikes in the collection. Yeah, guess I should've just said I got a thing for Maicos.

I was born in Detroit and my name is Richard. I played punk rock for years with the name Dick Thrust. When I got older and started playing country/rockabilly/blues (what they now call Americana) I had the good fortune to get some gigs with San Diego's notorious Beat Farmers one of the greatest live bands that's ever burned a stage down. One of their members the late great County Dick Montana thought I needed a new stage name and suggested "Detroit Dick"......

I chose it when I was part of the original "Fresh Dirt" crowd in the 1990's. I was riding in Japan and living in Tokyo. I had switched from 250's back to 125's at the time, so a 125 ridder from Tokyo became "Tokyo Tiddler" which I kept when when I went back to 250 2T's and on to 450 4t's.

I look like this old Irish TV personality. I got the nickname starting secondary school, and it really stuck. A lot of my friends didn't even know my real name for years. My girlfriend and her family call me Bosco. It's more unusual to hear my real name now. I caught myself thinking a few weeks ago about what it would be like to have one of those nicknames where it's so ingrained and casual that you don't even realise people are using it. Then I realised I've had it for nearly 10 years!

Because in the transition from motodrive to vital, I had an interruption in my email address. I was G for years, (alphado, orvil, eid, days).
Now I'm stuck with GIwasB4
I want to go back to 2 strokes and my user name. "G"
just do it

Linked to my Facebook account, which had my real First/Last and just kept it even though i'm no longer on Facebook.
Maybe having my actual name will keep me from caving in to narcissistic keyboard warrior syndrome.
I think some people take advantage of the anonymity that comes with a handle, other's do not.
I definitely can't. Smile

I was about 12 years old, and starting to really dig the ladies. I stole a couple of my grandpas playboys, and I took them home, and snuck them in my room. Well one night my mom had some friends over for a small party, and I was in my room looking at the playboys. Well one of my moms guy friends whips my door open to say hi to me, and catches me doing the five knuckle shuffle on the piss pump. Or in easier terms jerkin the gerkin. He yells out to everybody in the house, your kids playing with his mungus. Hence the name mungusman, the name stuck with me till this day. I like the name doesn't bother me at all, I love it!!!!!!!

Harry- will find some and post them ASAP. Been almost 15 years but we did a one night reunion a few years back. I'll get one of those on here in the next couple of days.
