I used daemon as an alias since the BBS days. It comes from something in Linux called a daemon or in the windows world a service. The 616 is a reference to the mark of the beast but it also plays well with moto and running # in your name.

Mine came from my email. Marc is my first name, Gif is half of my last name and racing is pretty much all I care about. My avatar is a pic from my first race back in action after breaking my back at the Milwaukee mile in 92( I think). I was in a coma for a few days so it was a foggy memory.
This is the guy that came up with my nickname. He said my old XR600 sounded liked a tractor. So he started calling me plowboy.

I read somewhere that to get really good at something, it takes 10,000 hours of doing it. I easily got 10,0000 hrs into dirt biking.. Probably got 500 hrs on a 71 suzuki 90 in 8 inches of snow pulling cousins in three flying saucers at once. It was 50 - 50 wether i would whip them or they would whip me. I credit this with giving me good balance and teaching me how to crash. Bet i fell a couple of thousnad time doing this

I lurked on the cyclenews, freshdirt, motdrive and here for years before something spooled me up and i finally posted here

Not really.

In 2000 I started racing again.Worked out a deal with husky importers and at muddy creek Joey Casey was passing out the "PRACTICE TRACK " paper.

In it was a section written up by mikeeep called freshdirt.

It was a website also with a board. I had just gotten dailup in my little town and started reading.

Joined with the name "hillbilly " because I am one. Pure country hick.

Teggers ran the same number as me ,351,he drove up from florida to a megaseries race we had at watt road in Knoxville.

Damn, what a track that was that day, epic long rutts and rutted jumps . Love that stuff.

Teggers was a freshdirt member and when I saw the number and the slash I thought "who the f is this"t hen the name "eggers" and the white helmet,

Been friends ever since.

I was hillbilly351 here for a while on the 1st md board because someone had registered hillbilly and was ruining my good name, lol.

Guyb clipped him i guess,it was prolly redrider,I think he is dead now.

Man,so many from that board are dead.

Ha watt rd eh? never raced there, but practiced there right before they leveled it and built a Furniture Country or what ever it is there. But they went bankrupt, karma is a bitch.
Yeah, only race we had there,02 , blalock had faced it all up and he and mcoy had been riding it for a month.

I rolled in on race day and smoked them bad, lol, they accused me of practicing on it during the week.

They just didn't like rutts, specialy up jumps, rutts hold your bike straight and dont matter if you're on the rear wheel, lol.

Mine is simple, I took it from a classic Simpson's episode when Homer got a harley and a biker gang took over his house.

This gang member was named Ramrod:

When I decided to get back on a motocross bike, ( took a 14 year hiatus ) I bought a new bike in December of 02'. When I decided to race again I needed to come up with a number, and 84 was the year I graduated high school, so I went with that number. Still don't know why!
The "Kawasa" part is pretty self explanatory, I ride Honda's. LOL!!

Mostly just a lurker but signed in once looking for information. Kinda got sucked in after that. I've had my user name since the early nineties. Was fanopj before and forgot my eBay account info. Fanopj1 was than created. It basically means fan of pearl jam. Best band out there to this day. Kinda boring but suits me.

Shane Kelley told me he was going to put it on his license plate when he was able to buy a truck. Then he got killed at Perris a month or so later (November 2001) so I decided to run it as a screen name... it also doubles as Save Lives Always Put A Helmet On.
Some of you Northwest guys may remember him, he was fast as hell, moved to SoCal in 99 or 2000. He was good friends with Jason Ciarletta and Brandon Layton. RIP to all 3 of them.

Mine is just my first and last initials, plus my number. I got it racing bmx when I was 4 I think, and I have stuck with it ever since. It's pretty funny, my friends all know I put it on damn near everything, and it almost like a second name for me. There is no way I'll ever change it, way to many good memories with this on the plates!

Back in the late 90's my brother (a computer nerd) kept telling me I needed an email. I told him the internet is a fad and won't last. Later, I registered theinternetkid at hotmail hoping it would piss him off. I've been using it ever since.

Mine is pretty stupid, but I was joking with someone saying "you're gonna burn with all the other sinners" so I threw Burn in there. Then of course 1986 was the year I graduated and the best years for the CRs which I had 2 of. So that ended up with Burn1986.

Way back in the old day's before most of you were born. I was out at Saddleback. One of my riding buddies wanted to try my 76 Maico 440. He rode a Suzuki 250, He walked over to the Maico & jumped on it. took him a second to figure out it was a Left side kick. When he tried to kick it , it had to much compression for his 140lbs. he looked over at me & said how do you start this BIGMAICO? It's stuck!

Once I told him how to get it started he was off & running, But the best part is his little brother was watching & said I want a ride too! I said if you can start it you can ride it...BIG mistake! I thought that he would never get it running. He was only about a 110lbs!
the little fart was paying attention & walked right up to the Maico & grabbed the compression release, brought it to TDC & kicked the crap out of it & it fired!

I thought holly crap this is going to bad, but the little snot just took off & took a lap, he came back with a huge smile on his face & told his brother that he stated it in one kick not three, then he put the Maico on the stand & mumbled some thing about his brother being a wimp!

Mine is obvious
I already told mine. It was on page 2 I think.

It's my nickname since I was 3-4 years old. When I was little I really like a fairytale about Congo jungle and was asking my brother to read it to me VERY often. He was so pissed he started calling me Kongols and it stuck. Most of my friends call me that all my life.

(mx) is pretty obvious, (bigd) is what my friends called me when I raced BMX and did BMX Dirt Jumping back in the late 90's and early 2000's, and (17) is self explanatory. (17) is my bike number but back when I was 18 I started running it because I used to say "17 is barely legal". Referring to hot young teenage girls. Hell, all the porn sites nowadays even have a category called "Barely Legal" lol! I want some royalties!!!!!
