Your Vital Name

Keep it up. Personally, I read every one of the entries you guys make. Yeah, some names are obvious, but so what. Some of the jokes and stories that have been run through this thread are classic.

You know...I haven't gone back through all nine pages, but I don't think Guy B. ever posted his story. Thanks to all participating.

Mine is from an old MXA magazine. I had an YZ125 at that time(1992) and it was refered to as mr toads wild ride in a bike test. I initially used Mrtoad for everything on the web, but one day it was already taken and I had to go for themrtoad instead. I'm still called Toad, but few people know why.

When I was just a wee lurker I'd get a kick out of the 2T vs $T fights so when I finally logged in I figured 4stroke4dwin would be good for getting under some skin, epic fail, no one has said anything about it and now I ride nothing but 2T's haha

How did you pick the name you use on here? For some, it is obvious, but for others, not so obvious. Even though my back is pretty much hairless, I just used the first thing that popped into my mind that seemed unique and played on words. Besides, I don't really care if you think I have a sweet coat of man fur growing out of my back. So, what's your story?

Mine came from high school baseball teammates, bgpn is short Big Pun. My college number was 35 and it carried over to my moto # adding a 9 making it 359. I got the name from teammates after the rapper big pun song "I'm not a player I just crush a lot" since I could swing the bat pretty good

My name is from my life long interest in sidecars and I made the switch from solos 4 years ago, first year in the British Championship this year, I still have a solo if the need to moto alone ever kicks in though.

Everyone has that embarrassing email name they made years ago and had to stop using when you became an adult. This was mine. I wanted to use my riding number and some sort of moto term.

edited to add....my new email was attacked a while back so I still use this at work all the time. lol

Started riding Moto in '79 (Actually rode before that; but, that was the yr I got my 1st MX bike...a '79 YZ125...)
Raced my ass off thru the '80s and the vast majority of it was on Kawi's...and a mid '80s stint on some REALLY nice Hondas...
But, in '86 I ended up back on a set of KXs & stayed green thru '90. So, that's '82, '85, '86 - '90 on KX125's 250's...500's...

Then a small collection of KDX200s & KX500s in the '90s for Off-Road racing...D36 & 37...BITD...V2R...etc.

And when I got back on a proper Moto-Scoot...the '06 KX450F...I started another run of "Kawi-years"...I've had a KX450 around every year since then...and have had a few KLX450Rs, too (A really, really, REALLY good off-road bike).

Everytime I raced a Kawi...from the '82 Am. Nat's (The 1st Lorretta's) or the '97 Vegas to Reno race...to Mammoth in '08...the The Rip to Cabo in 2009...

There was Team Green support and people on the ground helping get my bike jetted, changing out parts that they thought needed to be better, letting me test some really, really nice bikes, sending me home from a race with a different bike ('83, thank you "Mr. Jordan"!) providing a bike for the Adelanto GP, loading my bike up for me and finding someone to drive me home- 'cause I'd wrecked my knee (Virginia City GP), changing out my suspension, bleeeding my brakes, building me the MOST BAD ASS KX500...EVER (Thanks Braasch!), bonding my ignition cover together between Motos (technically that was Damon at PC...but, they were covering all the TG stuff at Mammoth)...anyways...amazing support and unbelivable technical support...

And...Really, REALLY...cool people...one of whom runs Kawsaki's racing in the US, these days...

The Bikes? They speak for themselves. Kawasaki has always been in it.

So, when I became a Net-Nut...it was an Easy thing to choose: TeamGreen

While diligently doing research for work one day, I stumbled across the Vital website, and read the forum about Rick, Bruce, and Kyle in "Old school Moto". I usually avoided forums, mainly because the times that I sincerely tried to help someone (As a Tech or a rider), there always seemed to be some wiseass that would try to engage me to prove me wrong, and ultimately derail the thread! This time was different, and I thought it was truly a cool thing to see this particular topic honored and pinned for people to see and learn about, or simply to remember. I had to join to comment, so i simply used my last name and the most recent race # I had,..aka,..Dragoo168

Name is Philip. Was always called Flip for short. Someone on the Texas offroad network called me flip stick for some reason like ten years ago, so I went with it. Turns out there really is some thing called a flip stick. Has nothing to do with moto tho Silly

I always wore #32 in honor of Bill Walton. At some point it morphed into Madc 32. Due to the club I race thru I'm 758. Whatever.
