Herein illustrates the difference between the chosen few and the rest of us mere mortals. As oshow said, Tomacs manual of those rollers was "badass".

X2. There was a scene in TGO Industrial Strength where James goes WFO through deep ass whoops. Much deeper than what Eli was hitting but it made me think of that

I remember that.

James is one of the chosen few.

The question is, was Tomac gaining time on RD by doing that? And how much time if so? One little kicker or rock or inconsistency in a face for that to get sideways real quick. Although, it DIDN'T happen.

Respect for the talent though. It looked like he got past 12:00 on that one pass through it. I know I would have been waiting on the medical unit if I were to attempt anything like that.

I remember one year Pastrana did something similar, and he turned his head and looked over at the camera man

If you watched the Slo-Mo looking at the right side of the bike, you can see his foot working the rear brake. I could not take my eyes off his foot to see anything else the first three times I watched the DVR playback.

Mad Skills.

Me, I be hanging off the bars Superman style wondering how much is it going to hurt and how much is going to cost me.

Definitely the highlight of the race for me. He almost had the bike straight up.
I thought the same thing! And I assumed it was an accident the first time I noticed, but then he kept doing it and it was obviously fast and worked for him. Totally mindblowing in slow motion.

Not saying Tomac is the next JS but he certainly is the only rider ive seen who reminds me of him, wouldnt surprise me if Tomac is a big JS fan.

He made it look easy. Tomac has the skills and just needs to put it all together on a regular basis.

Love it when I'm watching the race and something like that happens. How bubba-esque was that!?

I really hope next season is his season to get the consistency down. He's learning a lot this year.

That was so beautifull. Tomac is unreal how he pulls that off. During the Lille sx there was this 'whoops dragonback double' type of thing and we where sitting right in front of it and he did it there also. Wheelying the whole thing without his front wheel ever touching a whoop. This guy is so talented !

That straight was right in front of our seats. He was definitely making time on RD5. I believe he would have caught him with a couple more laps, but the race is 20 laps for a reason.

I was very impressed by RD5 and Marvin Musquin. Both looked smooth and in control. Marvin was especially fast and smooth.

Weston was hitting the whoops so fast that everyone else looked slow after he did them. And that straight Tomac was wheelying down, Peick was going so fast that the little step up just before the triple was throwing him onto the race of the jump. When I first saw him do it I thought for sure he was going down, but he made it one smooth motion. Very cool.

Tomac will be a beast outdoors this year. He's got that 450 down now. He probably has more raw speed than anyone out there.

I was going to email it to some of my non-moto friends, but then I thought to myself - are they really my friends?

Agree. That was so cool to watch.

And who cares if it was faster or slower, it's just flat out cool. i don't blame him for doing it even if it was slower. I did that once on accident and after making it out the other side and saw I was still in 1 piece I had to laugh out loud at how fun it was, even though it scared me shitless. (And I was probably not even going half the speed he was).

It's gotta just feel GOOD to do that, know what I mean. To go that fast into a whoop section and just slap it into submission like that.

Yep. Me, too. I immediately looked there to see if he was going to have to tap.

Must've been doing some training in Baltimore or Atlanta. Shocked

he'll be a title threat as soon as he smooths out. super fast but not at putting entire races together mistake free.

him and tc41 definitely appear to be charging hardest whenever they end up on camera.
