Looks like another shitty track. Does it resemble the shitty old Competition Park to any SoCal guys?

How can they race at these garbage tracks, how can you even call that a track at all? RV looked real comfortable for sure but after watching that race I thought to myself how can they call it a world class series and they are racing on pure garbage. My local track looks 10x better than that crap...

Ofc only qualification tomorrow counts!

Anyway RV´s technique in the long rythm sections and doubles is way better than the europeans today wich ofc is something he got from racing supercross. He was flawless. Anyone agreed?

Pacing themself i just dont think Desalle thought he could hang with him today even do it was qualify.

Hope we get to see a good start tomorrow and AC in the mix there.
I couldn't read past your first sentence. I already had a headache today.

Just how hot are we talking over there? Heat index with humidity. I keep hearing hot but no figures. Everyone was wearing jeans during the qualifier and I noticed a good breeze.

Yeah it does!

RV looked like he was on cruise control, imo. Very relaxed once he got clear

Ok, I looked it up....Mid 90sF and Mid 80% humidity, not pleasant, but way doable for US based riders. I guess that's Advantage RV for the GP boys. Thanks Global Warming....

If you've not been to Thailand you don't know. Florida yes would be close. Yes that's going to suit rv2 no noubt.

He looked really smooth on the hard pack. 1-1 he'll go with good starts

Hopefully all the top guys get out together off the start and we get some back and forth battles.

Not to sound like a fanboy ... but I think RV is looking to really unleash on these guys and put some fear in them. The more they think about him the easier it will be for him to deal with them. He should have the advantage of the US style of going all-out from the get-go but that will be tempered by him still learning who will put up a fight and who won't.

If he gets the hole shot and has clear track I think the rest of them are in trouble.

Who the F is in charge of building the tracks for the GP series? Do they just leave it up to the local promoter or is there a guy that travels around and oversees things ala Rich Winkler / DirtWurx?

Captain America did have the track wired but don't underestimate the crafty veterans of the GP's. I agree that my money is on Desalle leaving with the red plate tomorrow, Mr V can stand on the top of the podium but if the top riders are right next to him there he's only gained 6-8 points on most of them overall so he's still looking at leaving the weekend in a possible 5-7 overall in points. It didn't matter if Desalle and company finished 1 second or 1 minute behind RV, they are still right next to him on the gate with much less physical exertion which I would call experience and craftsmanship Tomorrow is a new day and a new track breakdown scenario, may the best man on the day win..

Wasn't everybody just saying that the GP riders were in better shape... but now they will be affected by the heat....pretty sure you can't have it both ways...

Not supercross but so-cal motocross for sure. Also, those euros look like they are dying in the heat. Villo looks a little sweaty but ready to go again.

Villo is going to be the only one flying at the end of 2nd moto tomorrow. Training and riding in florida is going to give him a big advantage. He knows how and when to push in the heat and how to manage his fitness.

Haha A buddy and I were just talking about the ridiculous comments on here by some and he brought up the thread this week about the GP guys being fitter then the same people saying RV has the advantage because of the heat. Forgot about that thread. I LOL'd.

Just got done riding. Had a good day. Had a few beers afterwards and not reading through all this BS. Can't believe there was so much dialog regarding RV and conditions and preparations after 1 fugging race....

Captain America, as you put it, is coming into this race 7th in points....and you think that if he wins his one, he'll possibly come away 5th-7th in points? I'm not saying he will win, but if RV does win this race, I'd guess he comes out in 3rd.....I promise you it wouldn't be 7th! No way that a 7th + 1st = 7th.

Desalle looked a bit warm in his interview. Should be a good race!

Well captain dickweed Source isn't very good at grammar or math so let's cut him some handicap slack.

Yes you are right about being in 7th now, my mistake I admit. Even if RV has a streak of overall top step on the podium he's not looking to be in Red Plate contention until the 2nd or 3rd race back in Europe if the leaders are on the podium also, he dug a hole for himself by being 25 points down in the opening race. The Red plate is the goal not qualifying race wins, let's hope he can stay in the form he displayed yesterday so he's in the scheme of things soon.

Haha, because it was never hot and humid at the Equator until we came up with global warming.
