....closer and closer to being a threat one day. Very impressed with him staying in control and running towards the front. That animal (Chupacabra) inside him is still well and alive.

He has the entire package. HP advantage, Good machine. Fitness. Speed. And a heart to win. He may surprise a lot of people here soon. jmo

He is surprising me already. I expected him to have a much harder time racing with the big boys. His starts have been terrible in past seasons but they seem to be getting better every week.

He was LAUNCHING that Suzuki out of the corners. I dont know how he was NOT going all Millsaps and dusting his bum on the Arlington dirt.

He seems to be a better outdoor rider than a stadium guy. Remember Daytona last year?

Always been a big fan of Blakes. Those rides I saw him put in on the lites bikes outdoors were incredible to watch. He's one of those special type dudes....that on any given day , he can just flip a switch and go all fucking beast mode! Simply just not give one shit about who or what's in front of him.

This is what I'm hoping for.....he makes it out of SX un-harmed....and we get to see what that kid can do on a 450 outdoors! It's kinda scary considering what he's capable of doing. Hold on to your freakin' hats!

I just hope he shakes that "El Chupacabra" moniker that was forced on him by weege Pinch Pinch Pinch Pinch

I have always been a fan of his... I know SX hasn't been his strong point but he is starting to impress for sure.... cant wait for outdoors!!!! Woohoo

He's never been known for sprinting out of the gate, but he's always there at the end. Here we are at the start of the east for the 250F's and he's finding his speed. I can't say that really surprises me.

He's doing very good given that outdoors is what he's good at. Just wait till he gets outside.

I've been on the bandwagon for a few years, but I admit he's doing better than I expected in Supercross. It's his outdoor style that made me a big fan, looking forward to seeing it again.

Very surprised and stoked for Blake flying under the radar. He seems very solid and is riding in control.

He's the dark horse nobody talked about coming into this season.

He was no where near Anderson and Seely last year in SX. I thought he have even more problems on the 450 because of his stature but he seems to have it figured out.
If he can handle the big bike indoors it could mean bad news for some people outdoors.
I will not count him out of the title fight. How he handled Barcia Tomac and Roczen a few years ago was incredible.

No he was no where near them because he was on the other coast.
He's a former sx winner in the 250s but I didn't expect him to do this good on the 450 in sx.

He is definately building and doing better. I think one of the main reasons we have seen him up front more lately is his starts. He doesn't always get good starts, thats why he is known for coming through the pack, I think we are seeing now that his starts are getting better and he is showing that he can hang up front.

RacerX has decent interview with him if you have a couple minutes to spare. He talks about having RJ helping out.

http://racerxonline.com/2015/02/16/insight-blake-baggett
From the Racerx interview Blake had this to say when asked about RJ and how he has helped:

"... It’s traction. Traction wins. Some of the things I was doing was taking weight off the rear wheel when you needed to put weight on the rear wheel. Just trying to get it to bite and then just riding technique stuff, leaning forward in some areas, foot in different places. He really helped me on the starts. Completely changed up what we were doing on the start...."

I love it when the rider gives these little technical details. Andrew short is really good about talking about the changes he makes to the bike during the day.

You're exactly right. I bring this up pseudo regularly but his most impressive moment was with he put the pass on Barcia a few years ago in the outdoors. He went so fucking hard into a corner and did not let off one second. I think that for that moment, Barcia felt like a C rider with the way Baggett passed him.

I believe you are talking about Spring Creek 2012? 1:20 mark is the actual pass

"I still don't know" when talking about does big bike fit his riding style. Once Blake figures that out and finds that 100% confidence, most likely outdoor, he is gonna be a beast.

someone please fill me in on what JT said? Sounds like he made some sort of bet, and they keep hinting at it on pulp but I didn't catch the initial bet or statement.

Post a reply to: Baggett? Seems like he is creeping...
