Well if you look at a "step-on, step-off" using that same rhythm it would be called a double-double. If you jump a tabletop by itself you get air and it is considered a double not a single, genius. And "Jeffro" you already explained to yourself that its a quad if you DO count take offs...the first single, the front of the tabletop, the end of the top of the tabletop, and the last single. Because you can land on top of the tabletop and jump off, just like I already stated. And I agree; case closed for the millionth time!

How is it not a quad? There were two singles after the table not one. So if you guys jump a table at a track, are you going around saying you singled over that jump? No, therefor it's not a single, it's a double.

One way to look at it is......how do you make a Table top?

First you build a double.......then.........you fill the middle........two jumps now make a table.....silly right....?

But for as long as SX has been around there have been finish line jumps that are a single over a tabletop. Iv'e never heard of that jump combo as a triple. I consider that a double.
It's based off what is considered a landing. You are meant to land on them in rhythm sections. You have no reason to come up short on a finish. You just lose momentum and there is not anything to jump to if you do land on it so the sequence is over.

For me it was a quad since the tabletop is actually like a double, but I understand the debate.

In all cases that jump was BIG and was close to catch a few big names (Roczen & Reed)

No, you would just say you cleared the tabletop. I've never heard a table called a double because it's one jump. Yes, if you cut the middle out it would make it a double but since it's all together it's one jump. If you jump a 100' tabletop do you call it a double,triple, or quad? Cause you could cut out two or three sections and turn it into a triple or quad. It's not what it could be, it's what it is.

It's semantics at this point. A single has a lip and no landings. If you get air you don't land on the backside. A double has a lip and a landing. A table has a lip and a landing. A triple has a lip and two landings. A single and table has a lip and two landings. A single/table/single has a lip and 3 landings. 4 singles has a lip and 3 landings...

I can go on and on.

I always thought it was stupid to call a small table and a double a quad. They are only jumping 3 objects therefore it's a triple.

I Cleared the shit out of that 100ft triple tabletop- "Said no one ever"

From my experience quads are 4 individual jumps... not a tabletop

a tabletop is its own entity, or it would not have been made.

So if you launch one table top and land on another, is it therefor a triple?? or a step-on??

How many landings are there? A single doesn't have a takeoff and a landing. Those tabletops, no matter how small they are, do have a takeoff and a landing. Therefore takeoff + 3 possible landings = a quad.
