Congrats to Kenny!
Dungey rode well and kept fighting until the end. It paid off!
Reed!!!!! Rode well! He will be a contender! He has the speed, and believes he can win. Watch out!

Stewart. A few points down. He'll have to be consistent, but the championship is not out of reach.

I hope Tomac is alright for next week.

WooHoo!! It's going to be a great season!

Man what a night. This will be a great season. Now time to hit the sack, it's 8.37 a.m over here so I'm kinda tired, but just a little bit.

That was an awesome night of racing, a real treat.
I'll be at the Phoenix round next week, catch you all later.

Congrats Kenny. Reed, good to see you on the podium.

How does a washed up old man with no hope of cracking the top 10 end up finishing on the podium? Maybe some Vitards really do know fuck all. Well done Reedy.

Is this the first time no Jap factory team has been on the podium?

Dammit to hell. JS7 was killing it and really going for it. A small mistake and the night is a wash. Frustrating. He got a bad start and moved up so well.

Congrats to Kenny, though. Awesome ride. And props to CR22 for a great race as well. I was hoping for a JS7, KROC, CR22 podium.

Oh well. Great race. Disappointed for James. Excited for Kenny.

Who thinks it's time for the suits from the land of the rising sun to get their head's out of their butts? Time to wake up and smell the coffee.

Not too bad of an opener. Not an Anaheim shocker, but at least Poto didn't win.

A KTM 1-2...my how have the mighty have fallen.

The KTM brand, the riders, all under dogs. Everyone counts Dungey out...everyone said Kenny would struggle compared to Tomac on the 450.
I certainly don't think roczen winning was anywhere near as shocking as grant or millsaps winning A1. Most surprising thing to me was RV throwing it away and then not being able to keep up with the top 4.

...and glad for Reedy. I knew he would be there. The thing is, Dungey is SUPER SMART. He knows damn well that you can't win the championship in the first race, but you can sure as hell lose it. He didn't throw it away...settled for second, but he knows that's a good thing - vs. what Villi and Bubber did.

How about Reedy? the guy who ppl said was lucky to top 10?
I was one of those people. Just couldn't bear to get my hopes up again. I'm still holding out.. if he loosens up a bit he could be a legitimate threat.

Great opener!! Lets hope it´s not a RV2 snoozefest from here on out, because he is capable of it.

Once again the pass of the race is shown mid moto. Didn't they learn anything from the last race?
It's little more than a plug for Progressive.

...oh, and yes, DAMN happy for KTM! I remember when it was just the "BIG FOUR" ...now we have some new blood leading those four..that's a good thing.
1/4/2014 10:43pm
Top notch! That was a superb A1, (aside from JBS DNF and others too).

You just gotta know DeCoster had a HUGE grin on his face as those two pumpkins crossed the checkers.

I told you guys not to count out Reed. He'll be in the chase.

Stewart had the fastest lap of the race, too bad every year I hope he stops crashing and starts winning again but no...
Yeah I agree. It wouldn't be so bad if he could just salvage something. Not a criticism at all - that looked like a really bad hit, bike was probably wrecked too. But regardless, it pretty much kills his championships every year.

I wouldn't say there were plenty, Osborne was the only factory rider for a Japanese team. Seely and Reed aren't factory.
