From looking at it on TV, He was motionless for a while.

I would like to see them try to keep Him out of a race during the normal season over this.

I'm sure they opted out on their own this time , with a Championship on the line I bet it would be hard to keep any of the top guy's out.

No doubt, it didn't look good with him laying there apparently motionless.

Sometimes you lay there and don't move while you are scared shitless of moving and realizing something is not connected.

My initial thought was hip/femur

I agree with this Regis, but I'm pretty sure RV's switches were all in the off position for a couple minutes. I was there, but seated across the stadium, so I couldn't be sure. But, one of the photogs (who nearly lost his life..lol) said RV was out cold for a few minutes.

It looks from the replay it was more how hard he hit the ground that knocked him out, than an actual blow to the head. Which hopefully is a good thing. Either way, I was so pumped to see him get up.

I would have to say it was a good thing he was wearing a neck brace. I would think the force on his neck would have been pretty severe with the hit he took to the concrete.

When the helmet drags and he's limp
And doesn't roll over
That should clue anyone in
He took a hard hit

Wonder how long till the other helmet manufacturers jump on 6D's wagon... Or a major sponsored rider like RV/Dunge swaps over...

I was at the race, it was hard to see once the medics were around him, but he laid there for about +/-4 minutes while they checked him out and until he got up. TV made it look like he was up and going pretty quick.

On another note, that was probably the most dangerous supercross track I've ever seen. A super high speed whooped out section right next to the stands, leading into a huge turn with sharp man made edges everywhere? Are you kidding me Feld? The kid on the mini barely saved a high speed crash that could have easily ended up way worse

That was scary, motionless for quite a while, they were aiming the cam towards him a couple of times the last lap and after, he was in the same position all the time. I actually was a bit chocked when he all of a sudden was up and walking. Hip, shoulder and most def head got a hit. But I fear he would do the following SX if that was the case, while the 2014 MXDN might be during some kind of recovery. Whistling

Shoot man.. watched it again.. That was bad. The brace saved his neck. If he was only a couple feet closer to tough blocks..It also looked like he was trying to throw it away last minute the way the front wheel was turn.

No announcement yet, but hoping he came away from bumps and bruises. We need him at A1.. JS7 just stepped it up and it's going to be good race season.

We were on row 11 section 106 which was right where RV2 crashed. 100% he was out cold from our close perspective; completely motionless while sliding and after, it was really bad looking in person. We were all extremely relived when he got up!

As my posts can attest, I am not in any way an RV fan...but I'm also not a hater and wish anything bad on any rider. That crash was scary bad, and RV's laying stone cold motionless afterwards was hard to watch. I hate to see any rider take a hit like that! I think Aldon Baker tweeted that his injuries were "minor" and that he drove his Raptor home after the race...but was in a lot of pain. Hope all that is accurate...but the way these guys are so secretive about injuries especially going into the 2014 season, chances are Villopoto and his camp might keep a lock on info.

He slammed his head hard on the ground, just watch it bounce after he hit.

Yeah, when your out cold. We have seen crash after crash and the only time the guy is motionless is when they are KO'd. They usually roll around or at least move a limb a little. "Scared shitless", that's a good one. Still sticking up for that Geico kid from the Supercross season I see.
