Worst MX coverage EVER.

Edited Date/Time 7/9/2013 9:42pm
less than 30 seconds of racing between infomercials, "human interest stories" and more commercials.

This is horrible.

Unbelievably bad coverage. I am not usually one to complain but NBC is a complete joke. It would have been nice to see at least 10 mins of the 30+2 race.

LMAO, there was a race? Surely you jest!

That coverage was beyond pathetic. DC should kick someones ass over that disservice to the sport.

Even knowing that the sport has to PAY to be on TV and Live. Even realizing that nobody was lining there pockets with those adds, still...... That was horrible.

I've never complained about coverage before and have always been pretty grateful to at least have something to watch, but I will agree I can't say I've ever seen it as bad as it was today where 2/3 of the programming was ads.

It's even worse when they do these "rider feature" things. Commercials? OK there's way too many but there's at least some sort of justification for them. But giving us some appallingly timed feature on Broc Tickle or the Stewart compound during the f-ing race is taking the piss!

I believe they are.

You have to understand our sport isn't paid to be on TV. It has to PAY to be on TV,

It was horrible, but that is what it has to be to be live on a major network. Being on a major network does grow the sport, even with the commercials. More so than any other channels. We CORE enthusiasts are pissed. We are in the midst of growing pains.

Unfortunately, we as a sport aren't big enough to have commercial free racing.

I'm glad I didn't schedule my life around the race (for once). Sounds like I was the lucky one.

the first 250 and 250 moto was great.

It was the NBC moto that was the problem.

The rest are great.

But they still have the ability to do PIP coverage during the race. Hell, they're always trying to be more like NASCAR, why not try to replicate something that's actually useful.

I'm not one to usually complain about it just happy to get what I can. At least its not on at 3AM like when I was in college. But that was absolutely terrible. How many commercials and stuff do we need. If they are going to do that then lets do the picture in picture deal like Nascar does so we can at least still watch what is going on.

The tv coverage completely sucks, everything about it. The NBC coverage is the worst. I prefer to watch once they are posted up a day or two later. I think its time to rethink the live tv deal. If you have to show 47 mins of ads or promos on a 1 hour broadcast its not working. The bullshit they show while the race is on wtf.

I was actually able to sit down and watch the race today, so I did. First one of 2013, the second 450 moto, on whatever link was posted in the Vital sticky. I saw more "Coverage wil resume shortly", ads, and non-race segments than actual racing. Pretty sad, when it looked like there was actually some racing going on, as opposed to the usual RV riding clinic. ( Disclaimer: only what I've read, again, first moto I've seen. Just to maintain my legendary credibility here.)
Whoever was in charge of todays telecast, well, you can pretty much HONK on Bobo.
