Oh c'mon! Your biggest problem when riding that bad boy is that you only had room for one hot chick on it! I bet you had them fighting for spots on that fine storage rack!

The first gen aluminum frame Hondas were bad. I had a 99. It was very harsh and had massive vibs at the bars and the footpegs. I have had my hands go numb on many a bike, but this was the only one that would put my feet to sleep. The fork was garbage as well. It defined the term "mid-stroke harshness" I think this was the first production twin-chamber fork. I might be wrong about that.

The engine was fantastic though.

I can't say I have ever owned a truly bad bike. I have struggled to get a few of them set up how I like, but I don't hold the design responsible.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the first generation KXF/RMZ 250. I had an '05, and didn't think it was that bad, but they usually get a hard time on vital.

I was sponsored a 2008 crf 450 and hated it so much I went back to my 2006 rmz 450. The honda suspension was so harsh the front wheel was skating across the ground. the clutch would fade if I even looked at it. and to top it off this twitchy bastard had a brutal engine.
Needless to say the honda stuffed me in to the ground and lost all confidence in it. I probably could have fixed it with a revalve and hinson clutch, but I was pretty skint and had a bike I knew I loved back in the Garage.

1990 yz 80 was my first 80 I owned and it was horrible. After that, I got a brand new 94 and that thing was SICK. When they redesigned the bike in 93 it become like a thousand times better haha

My friend wanted to have ago on my newly secondhand purchased yz80. So we had a swap for a few minutes. This thing vibrated so hard I had to stop. Pinch

This'd probably get my vote too. I haven't really had a truly awful bike but with that said the 03 CRF tops my list. In retrospect it handled poorly and I remember having numerous mechanical hiccups with it for the entire season.

Three pages in and not one person has mentioned the 1981 Honda Pro Link. Had both a 125 and a 250. Those things were terrible and out of the 40 bikes I've owned those were the 2 worst bikes I have had in my garage. The funny story about those bikes was the fact that I was waiting for 2 Suzuki full floaters to come in and they were late getting to the dealership so I took 2 Hondas instead. That was also the worst decision ever. What a tool I was.

Had an '04. I agree. But a Jardine muffler and a jet kit really opened up that bike.

'98 CR 125 hands down. My CR 80 could have out run that thing. I also had a '99 CR 250, but that was a Heath Voss bike and had every imaginable after market part on it. Felt like a dream compared to the 125, and was fast as hell.

Quite possibly the slowest motorcycle in it's class to ever be produced.

I've owned chainsaws that pulled harder.

There were so many really bad bikes in the 70's you kids just don't know how lucky you are. "Dual sports" from Japan with "trial tires", spanish bikes that slid like demons but wouldn't turn, euro bikes that wouldn't slide but actually turned. 3 1/2" was the accepted travel for reap suspension, all forks really sucked with the exception of Maicos whopping 7" of travel, weak chains....we always had to have a selection of links available, steel bars that you could bend with your hands, tiny foot pegs, [my first Bultaco had a bold welded on for a peg], brakes that didn't work well and just didn't work when wet........seat foam like a pillow, leaking gas and oil out of every possible area to leak. Oh yeah, gas caps that didn't seal, nothing like gas on you junk at 7:00 AM to wake you up.

The list is farking endless.......

BUT we did have Whoopdechews!!!

My '79 YZ80. We bought it used and that thing felt like a constant death trap. I was 7 years old and scared as hell to ride it. However this bike ultimately helped me to become a much better rider than I would've on any other bike. Once I got my CR80, it was like going from a Pinto to a Porsche.

My 86 was a rocket compared to my 84 & 85 YZ 125.

I loved my 83! Hated the 84 & 85, and thought the 86 was ok, but not as good as the 83.

Better than my 82 was. The rad behind the front number plate was the worst design ever. Shit would leak everywhere.

Of course I was comparing it to my friend's 84 cr125, that would consistently blow me away. Cool

2005 Husquvarna TE250. It was stuipd slow and stupid heavy. I even had a hard time putting it back on the stand. I didn't own it but I rode a buddies and it was by far the worst bike I have ever ridden.
