I swear I heard on one of the shows there was taks of a different bike brand for Reed a few weeks back. Yamaha if I remember correctly.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's retirement. Chad has always said he doesn't want to ride around being a top 5-10 rider. I know he's been written off many times in the past and come back, but there is a point when that isn't going to happen any more.

As for the timing of the announcement, if it is retirement, and if it is this weekend, he might be doing it so fans can have a chance to see him one last time. It's a good bet if he did that crowds at the last half a dozen races will be bigger than usual.

Also might take some pressure off himself, he might just bag a win.

On the other hand, Reedy has been in a class all his own in the last few years with Twitter fishing...

Sucks if it is retirement, but that is the only option other than 22 Motorsports switching brands to Yamaha. A few things aren't lining up. Chad has always been vocal about 22. Mentioning he is just getting started with it. My guess is he wants a JGR style team. One in MX and the other In car racing. Another thing I am wondering about is Yamaha. The bike is supposed to be out for summer. With that said, I don't know if chads team is contracted through Honda or they lease bikes like Brooks and Mc did. If they lease the bikes then chad can make the switch for outdoors on the new Yamaha SM350(Steve Matthes) reported reedy talking too. Another note, if it is true about retirement damn you JT$ for keeping it under wraps so well.

He's switching to Yamaha. He had a private meeting with Yamaha a few weeks ago. That is all. The reason he started Two Two in the first place was because everyone was doubting him and he wanted to shut them up. No way he leaves when he's down like this.

Short has an "opt out" option from what I understand. That sounds redundant.
