Are those grooves routed into his frame rails...up above the cylinder head?

In the era of electronic engine management systems, you can stare at the outside of the bike all day and learn absolutely nothing about it. And if MXA tests the bike, there is no guarantee that the electronics are the same ones that Davi used. Modern four strokes are total black boxes. Nobody knows what's inside.
So true, Its turned street racing into a guessing game where you could lose or win big.

I heard factory Suzuki swapped the pull rods and adjusted the clickers for him.
..and changed the ignition curve for that little extra torque.

Here, have a sticker.

If Millsaps ISNT getting factory help then it sounds like the factory IS doing it right. After all, the idea is what wins on Saturday sells on Monday right? So in theory if his bike isnt full of unobtanium doesnt that make it more appealing to you and I as weekend warriors?

I knew someone would get it eventually. Best. Movie. Ever....I got Emig to sign my copy of it but I still haven't gotten a chance to get J-bone to sign it.

Last year 800 and this year 18? If this is the case they're not very good at picking them, are they?

Highly unlikely...it's against the rules to remove material/weight from the main frame i believe (remember the JGR frame polishing scandal a few years back).

More than likely just a reflection.

They're reflections in the highly polished frame.

That's because they are the same bike. Yoshimura are supplying RCH with all their bikes.

As a matter of fact I HAVE an original "Loc Dog dont ride fo no trick ass bitches" T-Shirt straight from the website when the movie came out. i lived up in norcal and at the time of its release me and my buddy had to drive down south (Hell-A) for something and while on the way back we stopped at Castaic Motorsports and I bought Frezno Smooth in VHS, I mustve watched that movie probably 100 times by now and there will NEVER be another like it.....

That new movie "Bro" the film is an autrocious god awful piece of chit.....good thing the bay of pirates had it bec thats the only way I would watch it, they shouldve paid me to watch it because it was that bad. It couldve been better but whoever edited and produced it did a tuuuuurrrible job of editing it and it barely makes any sense at all....heres a synopsis....

Bro yea, whats up BRO? Yea whats good BRO?....Uhhh yea fo sho ....Yea ill be at the contest, does drugs ...end of movie. There is no story no backdrop, its like watching the WORST episode of reality TV for 2 hours, goes nowhere and its done. Its a bummer for Manly bec he played the bro part pretty good (Im not dissing him either) but the people that made the movie couldve done a better job with an intern from a community college, how they got Danny Trejo (sp) on it is bewildering but ehhhh it couldve been a LOT better.

Yeah, It's the motor or the grips or the triple clamps or the pull rods or the black box, LOL. You guys just keep telling yourselves that it must be the equipment.

Would love to see that t-shirt. I've got the Trick ass Bitches edition DVD. That movie is like the Slapshot of motocross.

Well it kinda sorta is. He's obviously comfortable on the bike. Wouldn't have won if he wasn't. The team has clearly come up with a package that suits him. His lack of factory suspension obviously didn't hurt as he was far and away the best guy in the whoops all night.

Setting up a bike to make a rider more comfortable doesn't mean he has some super trick unobtainium parts on his bike. MX/SX is one of the very last sports where the fittest, best prepared, fastest athlete with a well set up bike can run at the very top. For anyone to suggest(I am not pointing fingers) that it is just the bike or some one off black box, motor, pull rods, triple clamps, or ultra trick suspension that only he had as the reason he won, really sells Millsaps, and every other pro for that matter, extremely short

Rockstar Suzuki has a "in house" engine program along with much of the chassis development as well. They do work very close with many sponsors to develop there bikes to suit there riders as well on the chassis front. What I think many people don't see because they do such a great job in house is the lack of technical support from Suzuki. This IMHO shows how good the staff is at this program and the fact they stepped up to now have a 450 program is very impressive too!

His bike looked liked it worked great for him. Although I'm not part of the 450 Yamaha bashing crew, I thought Grants bike looked like it was bouncing a lot. If you watch the race again, look at Grant's rear wheel. I'm no suspension guru but it looked like his rear rebound was too fast. Anyone else notice that too? Wonder if Millsaps fought the same thing?

Honestly, hasn't the time come to face up to a simple fact that the gap between a "Factory" bike and a well funded private team bike has become almost nothing? Yes, the true factory riders have far more options available but now days so many "Works' quality parts are available aftermarket. Not to forget the tech knowledge to set up a bike. Everything from works suspension, triple clamps, Ti bolt kits, every motor mod under the sun, transmission treatments, works quality wheels, etc, etc is available for the cash or sponsorship.

This isn't the days when everyone other than a factory team rider worked out a truck and rode a lightly modified stock bike and was up against works RC Honda's, Yamaha OW's, Kawsasaki SR's, or Suzuki RH's that blew everything else out of the water. Not to forget this was before the aftermarket we have today.

Considering he has works suspension I am sure Millsaps bike is as good as anything else on the track. The rest was up to him.
