Shaun Skinner- Dont know what ever happened to him once he turned pro but I loved watching him ride at the amateur nationals

R.J. Thompson- The guy taught me how to ride out in the desert, and there were times when he was on that no one could touch that guy, and I mean no one

Ryan Mills- He makes my list because of one memory that sticks out in my head. My first time going to the world minis (01' I believe) I watched mills make up what was probably a 4 second deficit on Gavin Grayck with only a whoop section, a Scrub single ( before the scrub became main stream) and a straight away. Gracyk was already to through the whoops and on the take off when mills entered the whoops. Anyways Mills leaned back and held it WFO through the whoops, over the single, down the straight away, and railed the last corner like I had never, nor will ever see. Gracyk never even saw it coming due to the lead he had with only maybe 15 seconds left in the race. Mills won by maybe half a tire, but none the less that guy became my hero that day.

Bailey - Johnson and Wardy wouldn't have had as many wins to their name
Tichenor - He was sooooooo close to winning on 250's multiple times. Just lost his chance unfortunately
Swink - What happened? He kicked ass on 125's and then fell off the planet
Shae Bentley- hope he's doing better, health wise
JMB - don't blame him for quitting after hearing all the Honda stories
Charley Bogard - What happened? He kicked everyones ass on 80's and then never made it to the pro's
Pingree-too many accidents, but the guy hauled major ass in the 80's and 90's

I will second that for BobbyM. I've said it here numerous times over the years, but Bob was well on his way to being a solid top five 500 rider by the early 80's before he lost his leg. His style was perfect for 500's. I don't know that he would have been at Glover and Bailey's level in the early 80's, but there were guys trailing those with factory rides that IMO Bob was faster than and he would have been in his prime then.


Unless he had turned out like a handful of other dumbasses that got sidelined by the party life.

Agreed on Bobby Myers.....Also Darryl was cursed with bad knees....Everybody knows what happened to Magoo....And Timmy Aston( and we knew who he was in Norcal) was a " Can't Miss " guaranteed Big time Pro when he tragically lost his leg in a street accident...

For me and the era I grew up in its RR and Travis. I honestly believe that an injury free, and arm pump free Robbie wins titles, beating MC and RC. Travis too, that jump a week or two before the 03 season where he wrecks his knee, before that he was riding the best sx he ever had.
