knuckle, you've had two of the af's?
I still have both of them - a '03 and a '07. Both superb bikes, the '07 is on the CRF250R chassis and I think it feels lighter and handles better, but that's just my opinion - some guys think it's the other way around, they like the ones built on the CR250R chassis.

With new bikes getting so expensive, I don't know why anyone would buy a 450 instead of a CR500AF, but to each his own....

My 2000 KX 500 Hybrid, Ex Kawasaki Belgium, factory bike raced by Dirk Gerkens, in the Belgian, championships, Carbon Sub frame and air box, 250 frame, alloy tank.

Loved that bike and wish I had never sold it was a work of art.

Present my 08 450 SX KTM

I loved my Suzuki SP200!

My favorite bike is the one I have now (99 kx250). I've ridden two new four strokes and didn't like them as much. Too Heavy.

My 1986 KX80, it got the crap rode out of it almost everyday for a year. Only one piston change. Then 20 years later I'd give my 2006 kx450f second best.

They were every bit as good as you think. My favorite bike is an 87' CR500.

That would be my buddy Randy's favorite bike. My 93' KX125 was a good bike, especially after Emig's Dad got ahold of it.

Still got my 03 KX250, probably never get rid of it because I like it too much.

It handles well, but my '00 KX250 would smoke it to the first corner.

Both of my 81' 490 Maico's

The one I had back in 81 & the one I have now

The 82' 490 wasn't too bad either, it's sitting next to the 81.

74 CR125 - hard to forget my first real motocross bike

83 RM500 - this bike was the bomb and the Full Floater really was sweet! Carded my first wins in the local pro class on that beast.

05 YZ125 - worked so well it made me feel like a hero every time I got on it

and finally my 06 YZ450 - quite possibly the best bike I've ever ridden but I'm still sorting out my 08 and it may take over that top spot.

That first bike was good for about half a season before it was completely worn out. A decade later the 500 didn't have any problems making the year but it was outdated when the next model came out. Now days a bike will last me until I just feel like getting something new.

2002 KTM 125. That bike was a rocket and after tweaking the suspension a little bit it was spot on.

I still have that 79 Terry and if we can find a way to smuggle it across the border it's yours.

Cheaper every day...$250
