Give it a break people. The orange bike is a good bike, and that is a reality. RD and the KTM will do good things this year.

It's funny how quiet even the RD fans are that were saying he made a mistake by going to KTM. The fact is, he finished right where he usually did on arguably the best bike out there, the Suzuki.

Dungey and the bike are gonna do just fine. Not sure why some people have such a hard time believing that something other than a jap bike can do well in this sport. Looked good last night and they'll get better as the season progresses.

It was sad to see him leave Suzuki, but he and the KTM will be fine this year. He will get a win or two and be consistent enough to be in the title hunt.

I am rooting for Dungey purely because he's on a KTM. Even though he did get on the box last night. He looked tentative in places. But then again, first supercross race of the season, he can only improve!

Why people have a hard time, what is KTM's track record in the Supercross class? Open your eyes, it's not hard to see why there are doubters out there. I give KTM credit though, at least they are doing the right things to turn their ship around in the 450 class. I'll wait until the end of the year to say they have though, one race doesn't turn around a history of losing.

I'm one that thinks he will not do as well on the KTM and he did about what I expected last night, although I wasn't expecting Stewart to do what he did. If Stewart did what I expected of him, he would have been 2nd well ahead of Reed in 3rd and Dungey in 4th. People were saying Dungey would have no problem getting wins on it, which remains to be seen, but in order to do that he will need to be quite a bit closer to RV in speed. I never thought he would get lapped on the KTM, he's a great rider. But I thought he looked uncomfortable at times and sketchy at times on it. I also think that will be more evident on what is now being called a "real" SX track. Still, I picked him for 4th this year with zero wins. I never said he wouldn't podium. So, this first race doesn't really do much for either end of the argument. I think he might have beaten Reed if still on his familiar Suzuki and maybe been closer to RV than he was, but that is pure conjecture.

we will see, but I remember last year him getting a lot of 3rds too. I also remember the scenario of him following Reed and not getting by him because he he wasn't aggressive enough.

I was yelling at the TV last night when he let JS by without a fight. He needs to be more aggressive in my opinion.

I think the new ktm is just as good as the suzuki. Dungey will not be the champion, but he wouldn`t on any bike if RV, Reed and stewart is injuryfree.

I can see that, but I think he improved right along with RV through the outdoor series last year. It wasn't that long ago that he was neck and neck with RV outdoors going for wins. Right now there is clearly ground to be made up. We will never be able to tell any of that, Suzuki vs. KTM, but glad to see him doing good on it right away all the same. Was so good when he started reeling in Stewart again.

Look back a bit further, RV has always generally had an edge over Dungey. Even KX250F vs RMZ250 days. Don't really see that changing over the next 5 years. Like MC vs Emig. Sure Emig beat him a few times, but (indoors) he was always MC's bitch!

Whats funny is seeing Reed & Dungey battling. Seems like their tactics are quite similar.

I think Dungey will do fine. I think he finished right where he would have on the RMZ. That's actually very good considering the time they've had to develop the bike. Will he win? Not sure, but I think his Style will keep him from winning, but put him on the podium consistently. He just doesn't seem to be real agressive and close right up on someone to take advantage of a mistake. As long as RV keeps getting starts he'll have RD by 6-8 seconds bythe start of lap three everytime. RV goes, RD settles into a pace.

His results may have been the same, but he did not look as smooth / in control as he did on the zook.

You morons actually think its the bike? Did everyone not see the same race I saw? Villopoto put it on cruise and pulled away. Why would anyone think that the bike Mr. Nice Guy is on have any relation to his finishing positions. Did he no let James through like opening the welcome door?

I love Dungey, but lets face reality here. He's not the most aggressive rider. Probably one of the best; if you think about his results combined with his riding style. But if you show that man a fender, he pushes you forward.

The KTM was solid. If everyone played musical bikes and were on different brands the end would have been the same. Ryan Villopoto will be untouchable this season. It's his year.

I just read a quote from someone elsewhere that said Short looked better on the KTM. How can anyone actually believe such shit? All because they like an orange bike? I can find quotes that say Dungey is going to win both SX and MX titles and Roczen and Musquin will sweep the SX and outdoor series. They exist SINCE last night. They exist in this thread! Just scroll up. Inventing shit? I'll find ya quotes that argued....ARGUED that Alessi will holeshot just as much on his 350 pre-2010 MX. Oh, and that he was going to dominate the series to boot. The spin is starting that JS only lost because he crashed AND that he looked to be the fastest rider on the track.
