looking into her eyes, it's like she's dead inside.
I just started rewatching "The Dropout" on Hulu to prepare for this documentary. It stars Amanda Seyfried, and she really sells how crazy this chick got.
Nathan Fielder has had a great batting average for his previous projects, I am really looking forward to this.
They did a great job with casting. The actress nailed it.
She looks more Ai than the girls in the redhead thread. That’s a trippy looking chick, the ping pong ball eyeballs are freaky

Looks like she could be Holmes' sister.
I had a penchant for dating complete nutjobs (I can fix her!), but Holmes' would have made me rethink my life decisions really, really quick.
She looks like the Bill Skarsgård version of Pennywise.
That's what I thought too, then my daughter told me that it wasn't an actress. That's actually her talking to Nathan Fielder, the filmmaker.
It's a 'documentary' (probably closer to a real documentary than most) where she invited the filmmaker to stay with her before she goes to prison.
I saw the trailer when we went to watch the Primetime movie about the Chris Hanson catch a predator show. I thought that show would be better but it's more about Robert Pattinson brooding than it is about the actual show and the perpetrators, etc.
Damn!! Had me fooled. Just the interaction between them seemed surreal and almost scripted. I recall her saying that she intentionally lowered her voice. Strange lady.
beyond strange. Drain Bamaged!
Yeah, it was probably somewhat scripted in her mind for quite a while. But you could see that Fielder realized how convincing and persuasive she can be.
This type of narcissism is seriously the stuff of cult leaders. If none of us knew that she was a fraud and she would have used that sort of tactic on us several years ago, we’d have probably believed everything she said. We have the benefit of knowing what she can do now, but 12-13 years ago? She convinced some seriously intelligent people to trust her implicitly.
No kidding! Man, she’s a work of art. Deranged art. Of course, my gal and I will watch it, lol

Scheduled full release date of Feb 2030 ... probably be full lezbo by then. What a waste ...

Well, maybe when I was young, but as I have aged, and my natural skepticism has gone full blown cynicism, I would have immediately walked away from the woman in that clip. The head movements and plastered smile are the dead giveaways. The head shaking says how wrong you are and the smile exudes how confident I am that I am right. Is that a concocted scene as in how many takes? Or is that really how she is? If that is how she really is then it is difficult for me to believe that she could have fooled all those people. Documentary? Maybe. At least when it comes to Youtube, the better the production quality the more likely it is total bullshit. Youtube is all I have. Maybe that's why I am so cynical.
What's the story with the weird voice. She spoke normally for years and then it changed. It's like she's trying to hide her normal voice.
She wanted to sound more like Steve Jobs and taken more seriously. Koo-koo.
I couldn't listen to, or look at her long enough for her to pitch whatever she was selling.
I have understood what crazy looks like for a very long time.
Pit Row
Went to see it last night with two of my kids and their spouses. It was better than I expected it to be!
I’d recommend it to anyone who likes a ‘funny psychological drama’.
Looking forward to watching this.
Running joke between me and one of my best friends from med school. He was an MBA and obsessed with the business side of medicine. We were in school when this was first being touted and he was all in on it, thought it was great. I told him it was bullshit and if it was that easy one of the established lab companies would have already been doing it. Took a few years but I was right. Still give him shit to this day about how much money he would have lost if he had it to invest back then.
Top 3 guiding life principle that has served me well, if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true.
