Genuine question - what are possible reasons for a delayed announcement? The teams are already entered and locked in.
Unless they're waiting to see who survives SMX?
Speculation now was AP, Vohland (or Barcia) and Hampshire??? But yeah, the team already had to be entered, so not sure why they would delay the announcement

They said last week that it would be announced at the SMX event in order to have a decent media coverage of the announcement.
I thought they were kicking Roger to the curb for his obvious conflict of interests.

Years ago the AMA would sell t-shirts and hats to help support the team. RacerX would sell signed sticker packs to. Bring that back! Let the fans help support the effort! then we are truly invested in it!
The longer the announcement is delayed the more likely this seems. That would be extremely disappointing and a kick in the face to all the small teams that go every year.

They had a team announcement planned for today, but someone else backed out. I have no clue who, but not a good sign and sounds like we should bail.
I'm sure there there are at least 3 American riders that CAN and WILL go. I'd be happy with Chisholm, Niccoletti, and whoever vs not sending a team at all.
I suggested ML interview Roger for an update but if there's a chance we don't send a team at all...that REQUIRES some input/explanation from SOMEONE.
I would love to know what would keep Plessinger - Barcia - Hampshire from going.
But yeah, if it needs to be Marchbanks - Masterpool - Hawkins, let's do it.
