1 rhythm lane, hard dirt. Sheesh. Not much to get excited about at all here, especially for a finale and with 2 x championships on the line. Hoping its not follow the leader like last week.
Wonder if the final turn will have a berm after the 9 whoops or not?
Looks better than last week but one never knows until they ride the thing.
90 deg turn before the whoops and 180 bowl turn after makes it much more interesting.
Whoop jumpers won't mind taking the inside on the 90, and the blitzers won't mind taking the outside to get more entry speed.
Plus four 180 turns should add passing opportunities.
At least there’s more than 9 whoops. I count 12.
But it'll be nine when the track's built... I just read in Racer X that the nine whoop rule and no dragon's back was suggested by De Coster.
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Who else runs the mouse pointer around the track trying to work out what gets quad, tripled etc
Gonna be another lame track. 90's should be banned or reduced to a maximum of 2..
Placement of that over-under seems dangerous. Looks like they’re doing some of the staging underneath it, which means if you get weird up the face and end up off the side, there could be riders, mechanics, etc. at risk of getting hit. Strange to bring it back just for this, I don’t see why it was so necessary to design the track to incorporate it.
Maybe 3 Championships?
That's what I counted...
There will be no passing. Stay to inside and drift wide and nowhere for other guy to go. What a terrible track. Three lanes that are 100% useless and straight aways. They won't tell you they slashed the dirt budget...but there will be signs. This is your sign.
How the hell can you tell all that from a cartoonish picture ? "Hard dirt" WTF! some of you people are just plain dumb.
lame
You're right, last few SLC rounds have been super loamy, huh? Wait....
that track is one giant waist of floor space this whole season the tracks have been trash
I even throw a little whip with it here and there..
I miss Monster Alley at Vegas.
40 second lap time?
Did DeCoster forget Webb and Marv no longer race for KTM??
Pit Row
Have you ever watched salt lake before. Unless it’s raining it’s baked.
I go every year, the point is these clowns shit on everything and see a cartoon drawing of a track and think they can tell how its all going to play out, no wonder the sport will never be more that a side show because a good portion of the so called fans spend all their time pissing and moaning about anything and everything.
Mate I've followed this sport like religion from the RC, Stew, CR days. I literally flew 40+ hours return from Aus to Glendale to see it live this year, spending only 3 days on the ground. Just to experience it in person.
In that time, you get to know what to expect at each venue. You also get to learn what a good layout does, and doesn't look like.
My point is that this super basic layout is such a shame, rather short lap times with next to no passing with, fine, 3 championships on the line if we want to be formal. You don't think those long, flat straight aways across the start aren't going to be the same concrete freeways we saw last week?
Remember the 2020 covid year when the original SL Track maps had them exiting the stadium? Yeah no more originality or creativity with these tracks anymore.
also get rid of triples besides a start/finish line it’s a totally useless obstacle now
Lol.....
There's a over under...but.....it's only a over...wtf
Snowing in SLC today.

Salt lake is the lamest venue ever. The finale should be an epic track...but no, we get a replay of 14 of the earlier 16 events.
The tracks here have sucked balls for the last 5 seasons. Was there an event here before that, I have no idea. Forgettable...that's Salt Lake.
Just another lame-o-cross in the rinse-o-matic 2024 season.
Guess who won't be watching...
SX is dead.
Long live the 80's and 90's.
Will you at least come back and bitch about it after it's over?
Seems very similar to the Philly layout. Just change where some turns connect.
I've followed this sport since 2000s and this is the worst ever season from a track design viewpoint. Horrendous and i hope they sit down in the summer and properly reviews what happened with the designs for this season and that they implement changes to 2025.
