The last thing they would do is plan for Betts to win knowing everyone would be mad and think it’s rigged.

Im going to say it was legit. Steve knows better than to do gimmicks like that. Also the way betts sounded on the phone he was pretty shocked.

Did anyone tell the guy who was on hold for like 8 hours waiting to get on air that he can hang up now?

The truck dude (was his name Tyler?) and Betts spelled it all out for you if you read between the lines.

That’s exactly how they are hoping people look at it.

I thought it was funny that the lifted trucks company signed up for a sponsorship with PulpMX and Steve absolutely shit on lifted trucks with the marketing guy in the studio lol. Said that he's comfortable with his penis size as well as saying they aren't functional for moto people. Moto people are his demographic and this company sponsors him and he's basically saying don't buy a lifted truck. Haha

If there's ever a raffle or giveaway and the winner ends up being friends with the people giving said item away, its totally rigged. They just stole all your money to pay for it, if its a raffle.

They should have done it the legal way. You let a third party sweepstakes company take care of everything.

They sounded kinda funny ( as in  suspicious ) when they were talking about it.  It seemed like they were almost trying to act badly to make it obvious that it was not really a giveaway.  In most contests like that Betts would be excluded being somewhat a friend of Steves. Being a guest on the show often. I was thinking it was just a creative promo. And done to get people talking about it. I did not really think anymore about it until I saw this post.

Later when asked if he's really giving away a truck he kind of mumbled a bit and said "it's kind of like a lease program".  If it's a lease wouldn't the truck have to be returned or a balloon payment made? He did refer to Betts as an ambassador,  who knows what the whole context to that is. It seems rather fishy for sure.

Yes, it’s almost as if the two minutes between truck guy announcing he’s going to give away a $90,000 truck and Chris Betts being the lucky caller was all just a fun way to advertise the company. A lot of the pro guys get free truck leases as an ambassador role, so I could see this truck company doing something similar with Betts as a way to get more eyeballs on them through social media and whatnot.

Scam? Raffle tickets? Where you guys coming up with this stuff? Grinning

Sort of like what Toyota of Escondido....I assume.... does with riders from teams they sponsor?

If anyone thinks it's legit. You need to go back to school.

Seems like betts has become an ambassador for lifted trucks and that was just there weird way of announcing it. He will get a lease truck for however long prob 12 months.
