Archview has hosted a ton of qualifiers in the past. The owner may have screwed up or may have been out of his control. But Coombs had nothing to do with the weather or the parking.

Yep. DC's fault it rained its ass off and the promotor (not DC) came up with his own solution. DC definitely ordered that storm so he could charge more for parking he does not receive a dime for. Makes sense.

Lol this thread cracks me up. Helped build archview the first time, and the second time when it expanded. Best dirt anyone could ever ask for. Paul is a lot of things but the guy is pure moto and always been good to me.

You know, you don't tug on Superman's cape, spit into the wind, pull the mask off of the Lone Ranger, etc., but in MX parlance. I never get the people shitting on Loretta’s every year. I get that almost all the kids won’t make a living riding dirtbikes and parents are extra, but these kids have dreams and they are going for them. Maybe it’s to make it or win it but at least they are working hard for something. Maybe it’s not the only big race of the year anymore but who care? It’s a big race and it’s exciting so shitting on it does nothing.

Is this the “keeping up with the L’s”? As long as the kids are enjoying it and the family is having fun, Im all for it. I miss the days doing this type of things with my kids, albeit a single dad. Enjoy every minute of it while you can. I just watched a couple videos today as someone had mentioned it, otherwise I never heard of them.

Not as hard as it should be. Take a class and learn about counter steering, changing directions fast on a heavy street bike going 80 mph is a different animal than mx. The class also takes care of the riding part of the test. I know.... here we go 😄

I’ve been to road-race track days, where they brought “newbies” out. 99% had no business on a motorcycle, never mind a track. Organ Donors. I’m a believer that the skills you learn in the dirt, are going to keep you alive on the street. Understand what you mean about a direction changes at 80. Most people don’t understand push left to go left.

Not arguing if it makes a difference, but you already had the bottle, regulator, and charging setup and didn’t just get a refill? My last bottle lasted me 30 years and hundreds of rebuilds and I just paid $27 to refill it for another 30 years.

First let me say Thank you for being a flagger it is a tough job withstanding all the heat and sun all day! The lights and flags are hard to see when they are off the side of the track and especially when all riders tunnel vision focus is further up the track at the next turn or jump. Red lights coming out of the previous corner or jump might give the racers a better warning of whats ahead of them. Having More than 1 red light would certainly help. Maybe they need better multi directional LED lights so it...

I have no problems with the penalties but if you have that many red cross/red light jumping violations there is something systemic going on and it should be looked at internally to understand why.
