I'm curious if the issue with him is that his family wants to do it their way.  Train at their place. Etc.  I'm also curious if that's a product of his dad wanting to keep him close to home.....to feel like he can protect him because of what happened to Jesse.    I really don't know.  All you hear about is how good of people they are so why is he so hard to deal with?

I just know , that if you are that fast , and that talented....you shouldn't be flipping the bills for anything in this sport. Not sure what his goals are , or how he is to work with , but it's a shame a well paying team couldn't find a seat for him. Especially if he puts in some more rides like that.

I totally agree but in the US the emphasis is on Supercross he should try to go over to the GPS he's an amazing talent!

Ty don't go back to the 250!

Losing your brother to the same sport you are still trying to go fast in has to be very tough.

Masterpool was the most entertaining part of the race yesterday.   Scrubbing, flicking, charging....and looking like he was having fun.  The Factory guys should be embarrassed, and those Factory manager's should be withholding paychecks.

Factory bikes with champions piloting them, sensors all over the bikes, data logging, months of testing, unobtainium parts, factory ECU, teams working on their engines, teams working on their suspensions, a whole team of "yes men" doing whatever the rider wants, mountains of money and countless hours invested....

And some kid shows up in a pickup truck on a stock-ish bike gives them all the business?

Maybe it was a one time fluke. But it was awesome.

Why not flip it the other way. Instead of the teams being embarrassed, why not give the kid some praise, he rode awesome. Even without giving him a ride, you could easily throw a few parts or bikes his way.

No doubt he deserves praise.  I may get down voted to hell for this comparison but he kinda reminded me of ET back in the Kawi days with how he was riding and just attacking.  Most awesome story of the day for sure.

Yes, Beta or Triumph should already be reaching out...  Hell, even Ducati.  That 2nd moto was awesome to watch.

It's actually a bummer that the scoring for the overall was so janky at TV.  Not often that 5-4 nets 6th overall.

THIS is why I like following MX more than SX. Better story lines about privateers having good results. It's just way more "core"

best thing he can do is stay on a 450 at this point. the 250 class is very weird in that you have a window there before you start getting your ass whooped even if you are the better rider.

Someone please make a thread about "Masterpool silly season" (even if the title is half of the sentence lol). After this week-end I think we can all agree that he deserves a shot back on a factory team, 250 or 450. He deserves to make a living with his riding. Most of the hype was that he is a privateer etc, which is true, but he is not at all unknown ; bad timing with injuries/contract time and he has been dropped was too early, he was on star racing in 2019 (with a 4th as best finish as a rookie, better than many big names). So he can ride, and he rode SX too so it is not like it is out of question. Nice come back story, that smells "Peick" all over it, he was a warrior too and he could be a very good signing as well.

A quick Google search for sports rehab will come up with a bunch of physical therapy places with rehab in their name. While Beach View is a addiction rehab center do you think it's possible that the owner/operator is just into moto and found Masterpool as an outlet?

I think the young man is just coming of age and no one knows that like a parent. This sport can take you in a different direction socially, Especially out in Cali. Who knows maybe his parents feel like he needs to be more grounded. We all know they are devout Christians and hold close to their faith. The way they run the 956 facility is like nothing I've ever seen or heard of. They change the track for every practice day. Sometimes they dont have the biggest gnarliest jumps or whoops but it will raise you heart rate like no tomorrow. His brother is extremely fast as well and has a pretty good grasp on what makes a good rider. I think Ty mentioned Brandon at AHM suspension and his bike did look good, even Bubba commented on that before and during the race. Both Ty and his father were so humbled. This young man and his father made my day.

Sounds a little like some guy training in Cortez with his family.

Kinda fucked up thing to throw out without something more solid than a "I thought I read that somewhere"
