Highest attendance ?

Idk about biggest ever since I’ve seen some pictures of races in the 70s and 80s that had huge crowds. 

Either way it was really cool to see such a massive crowd. My dream MX trip would be to attend a MXoN on mainland Europe, either Ernee or Maggiora. The atmosphere looks out of this word!

I saw a post where the clubowner said 35.000, same as 2015. Think that is reasonable for Sunday.

Not sure we are seeing the 50-60k per day that people talk about.

I thought I saw over 102K attendance when they listed it on the screen.

correct, which would double the attendance. Count Friday also, and youve tripled your attendance with the same 1 person.

Roczen posted om IG that he has never seen so many people. That gives a good indication. 

it did look like a huge crowd, but they cram everybody on to one hill side and everything else along the track are track workers or emergency personnel.

cameras and drones are almost all aimed to focus on the crowd shots.

then make up a number...............

It had to be 102k, Luongo has never exaggerated attendance numbers.    It was a big crowd and maybe 102 thru the gate all 3 days, but I was surprised spectating was only on 1 hill.

102k over the weekend (which is what they said word for word on the broadcast) counts some people 2-3x. It for sure looked packed to the brim, but there were not 102k individuals there.

It was a huge crowd but Malin said during the broadcast that it was the total over two days....also the number came from Luongo...who at one point claimed there were 40K spectators at the GP round in Turkey....

Announcers said 102,000 and Budds Creek was close to that

Real number might be around 45k on Sunday at best.
 

That number of 102k or whatever is 3 day count plus some Youthstream voo doo magic. It was packed for sure, but like others have said, maybe only 1/2 the facility is open for the fans. 

...in any case it's quite a bit more than RedBud last year ! I was there and although I found that the event had attracted a large audience, nothing to do with the images of Ernée ! WOW ! Congrats for the success !

Take everyone from Red Bud and put them on the infield portion and it would look the same. MXDN is such a special event, I just wish they would be honest on ow many fans are there. Also its been years since the Nationals has given attendance numbers as well. And Feld claims every SX is a sell out.

I hope someone took a panoramic photo of it. There's a whole section you don't see in that pic that's just as packed. 

Looks wild but man that spectating had to suck, French crowd much like the DH racing French crowds are there for a good time with a side of spectating racing. Id say 20k probably, no way in hell there was 100k people.

That's 100K people sitting in evenly spaced seats, the first pic is easily 40-50K people standing almost elbow to elbow...

But I get your point, probably 3 day attendance numbers.

The crowd was massive. I made it from the paddock to the first turn before it got so jammed up you couldn’t go any further. from the fence all the way to the top of the hill, there wasnt a single piece of land without a foot on it.
