2 am and we have crack heads blaring music and starting shit and yelling plus the melody of dirt works tearing down the track 20 feet away. What a complete shit show. $600 bucks to camp for this? Fuck that.
If one of you assholes reads this, fuck you, I hope your kids get arrested. Straight up.
Wait till they sleep and drop the oil out of their diff.
Yup any National you go to you’ll find the same. Heck we’re at a local race here in PA right now and we’re parked next to a guy with a 90 grand pickup, 90 grand rv, and another 60 grand pickup behind the rv with a $200 non inverter generator from 1995 with no muffler. People are just idiots and have zero respect for anyone else anymore.
😂😂😂
Sounds miserable man. What a bummer.
The Shop
sorry but the fact of pay 600.00 to camp anywhere is what made me think really? at what point does over hyped series of 3 events to produce another championship which is a joke require this kind of money? or any event? I guess it's vegas.
Probably could have got a decent room on the strip for a couple nights at $600.
Grow the sport
I see zero being done to grow the sport. Grass roots, nada, zip, a giant money grab at LL's.
Might be a reason for foreign domination on or soil.
Grow the fan base and promoters wallets, affirmative.
Camping out at a race held in Vegas sounds like a bad idea all around, no? Would be like going to glamis and expecting a quiet night.
MXON was the same. Freaking train horns on RVs at 2AM. We won't ever stay at the track again.
That sucks. Should've left and went to a hotel and then did a charge back on the $600 camping fee.
Probably couldn’t finance a generator for 10.00/mo for 300 years like the rest of his stuff…😂
Camping twenty feet from the track.? In your RV? 600 bucks for two nights, next to the track is a pretty fair price, unless it's just you and your dog.
That track is way removed from the " crackheads" of the city. Those crackheads were your very own moto bros doing moto bro stuff. Are you even moto bro?
But really, inconsiderate people suck. Here's hoping a karma hangover hits those mofos this morning.
I guess I don't know what you thought you was getting a spot at a state park?
Common decency and respect for others should be expected anywhere when camping. Sadly, that is too much to ask for in today’s society.
Sounds like a quiet night camping at Unadilla during the late 70’s and early 80’s !
Damn: that sucks.
There’s literally an off-road riding area just a couple’s exits up the 15 that has “off-road” access to the speedway. All sorts of places to camp out there…and for free, I believe…and you can ride or 4X4 on some fun roads/trails to and from the raceway.
As for the price and the idiots…? Welcome to The Big City and the expenses & people within it.
At least the didn't have to deal with the smell of burning cars. 2AM? These dudes never went to bed.
Pit Row
I guess when I was hitting the nationals back in the late 80's into the 2000's, that was the norm. Even VMD at mid-ohio still gets that way (at least from the last time I was there in 2018). It's just a big party for most people.
This is how it is camping at any race. All nationals are like this as well, just how it’s always been. You’re not camping at a nice rv resort with sound restrictions. 600 bucks is wild though.
I have a similar story with Ironman GNCC last year.
I got there too late to park/camp inside the national gate. Truck bed tent camping, no camper
I had to park in the cornfield across the street and can't wait to do it again. So quiet and peaceful, except for the idiot in the RZR doing donuts who, by the time I called the sheriff had already been called on about dozen times so far. But theg finally put his ass to bed
I have people I hang with at races that I won't camp/sleep with due to this attitude. GNCC is worse even because most of the guys there are getting up super early to race tomorrow
people partying at a camp site in VEGAS at 2am after the finale of a major sporting event, who could have seen that coming. If you ever go to the beach, be careful the ocean is wet.....omg the horror, maybe use your brain an anticipate this happening
Thanks for the info. Looks like i'll be dusting off the old funmover for next year.
Or going to a metal concert and getting slammed to the ground in the pit.....when he should have gotten a balcony suite. OP needs to work on his party game.
What else would you expect camping at the des nations?!? 😂😂😂
Why camp in a giant parking lot for $600 when you’ve got dozens of hotels down the street? I’d get it if you were out at a desert race or something but I don’t see the appeal here..
It's not today's society that's been going on for 40 years at Nationals . Ever been to Redbud, it's downright crazy
Couldn’t UTVs blasting around at night be an issue there?
Just checked and Drag strip is 13 miles from a RV park that I can stay at for free.
You nailed it with the generator !
I didn't want to drive all morning so I camped the night before...
You only do that once in you life
I’ve done it at other events at the speedway and we park in the parking lot on bikes, in UTVs, Raptors or Broncos. Hell, we’ve even “tail-gated” and bar-b-q’d with UTVs.
It’s Nevada.
It’s The West.
It’s how we roll.
Say,”When?”
