Webb and Reed Teammates!

Just read on CBM Racing FB page that Cooper is riding for Yamaha and will be teammates with Reed in the Factory Yamaha rig!

Praying he can heal up quickly! I am eagerly waiting for the announcement on the actual status of his injury!

In defense of Kiwifan, this has been talked about for a couple months. I don't know if there has been an official press release that it was indeed fact, but discussed, yes. You are stating that he has known for months, incorrect statement, but you are also quoting a statement that it can finally be talked about. Both of you could lighten up just a bit, there really was no need to respond so harshly going either way. But hey, what do I know, you guys can both throw down and go at it if you'd like.

Edit: Well, my post will seem somewhat strange as mxdad had a response after Kiwifan, and now it's gone.
Oh well.

Yeah, it got removed. I know there was multiple threads that rumored it. I "knew" it too, as far as rumors go. I just had not seen it "officially" announced anywhere. I came to the board looking for a thread and didn't see one about it, was shocked there wasn't a new thread. Like I said today was the first time I read it anywhere that wasn't a forum. As we have seen numerous times, a lot of things are posted here and other sites that never come to reality!

3 months ago were RUMORS, he is now saying he has seen it as fact as reported by CBM. What are you not comprehending. He's not saying it as new info, notice no question mark at the end of the title. some of you people need to get a bike or a fleshlight, one or the other.

If you have it as a statement posted by a team before now please post the reference..........................crickets!!!!!

Hasn't been officially announced but I think Emig talking about it on the broadcast counts as more than just rumor.

i'd love to see Chad on a Husky/KTM... He's always been better on the more nimble bikes, had some setup issues on the rutty tracks that tracked with his results.

Wonder what Yamaha thought of this year overall. 5th in points, a few podiums, some horrible rounds and maybe 4 good starts. Mixed bag but not bad overall.

Be interesting if Reed re-signs.. he has had major setup issues.. is he there to develop the bike or be a contender?

Chad was never signed to do the US Nationals. He will be doing some GP's this year though.

they were having a lot of trouble getting the Yamaha off the line , it either would not hook up or just wheelie there was no in-between

Chad Reed will always believe in himself, so he will always think of himself as a "contender". However with his lackluster performance this season...Yamaha may have a different opinion. It wouldn't suprise me at all for them to put all their eggs into the Cooper Webb basket and let Reed stay onboard as an "advisor" or not stay at all. I'm a Reedy fan of sorts, but I have to believe his championship days are over.

wow and i thought 5 overall in the SX championship was a pretty good result guess the other 30 guys behind him should just pack up and go home as well

Wow...one thing mentioned that didn't say Chad Reed will be the next SX champion, and the butthurt fanboys come out! Huh

Look, seriously...Chad did great this year overall, but he finished four places behind Ryan Dungey. That ain't bad at all...and he's a lot faster than all those guys behind him...but he has to finish better than the four guys ahead of him to be a Champion. I just don't see that happening realistically.

Sorry if that disappoints.

well if yamaha are disappointed in Chad they must have already fired Justin and Weston and they finished behind him .

he finished 5th , with 1 factory KTM , Suzuki , Husky and Kawasaki in front of him and you think he should retire that seams like a pretty good result overall really , no factory team would be unhappy with that . Again i bet the other 31 guys who scored a point in the championship would change places with him in a second .

and im not a fanboy i enjoy watching racing and there was some pretty good racing to watch this season

what u think oshow? im thinkn when Reed was comfortable with setup he was a solid top 5- even top 2 as proven in the early rounds.... i think with a good setup he will be a contender next year and if not in the title hunt for some reason- still a top 5..
