I just came across this video from Living For The Weekend : The Battle For Motocross.
https://youtu.be/Gd7yb1Ib_4w
It's in Dutch, but there are sub / sur titles all the way through it. If you can read a 'normal' thread here, it's not that hard to read what is said.
The brief visual of a map / plaque showing RIP for the 51 tracks that have been closed in Belgium, leaving just 7 is disturbing.
Track closure is a massive problem , World wide.
As Calimero says in the video, it's all about the recreational rider, without Us, and that's the vast majority here on this and other sites, the sport is doomed. The powers that be, need to realize that.

The sport is in the twilight years I reckon unless things are changed drastically.

On topic, Jean Paul Maas is doing really good things for the sport in the Netherlands. Hopefully he can work together with the KNMV (dutch organization) and other countries to protect our sport and improve safety.
Easier to learn (no clutch/shifting), adjustable power, almost no maintenance or mechanical knowledge needed. Heck, most people can‘t check the oil level on their car, so the wrenching part of moto shies away a lot of people/parents.
Look at eMTBs. They are crazy expensive for just a effin bicycle but people buy them like crazy. An MX-bike should be as simple as one of those!
The line that really got me was that parents that ride don’t want their kids to take it up because of the danger, I don’t have kids yet but can relate.
Son riding for over 15 years and worse injury was a few minor bumps. Roller blading left him with massive cut on knee, also had a few big falls.
Grandson now riding for 4 years with a few minor bumps. Last summer fell off MTB and had to get stitches in side of head. Has hurt ligaments in both ankles playing soccer!!
Go figure what is more dangerous??? If only those doubters knew the standard of safety kit that we all wear they might change their minds.
Pit Row
Now obviously these 2 guys.. are just 2 guys, and he obviously has Dutch fans, but I bet he has more fans in America though seeing as just New York state has a larger population than the whole Netherlands.

its in the news people now you can win if you keep complaining. They even promoting here to complain if you see or hear something that is not in there norm. We just need to get rid of these whiners.
We just need to make sure that these people wanna move away as quickly as possible instead of the track. Its even common that the track is laying there for decades and that one guy or family just living there for a couple months directly start crying about it and even have a good shot at victory. We just need to man up and fight back and terrorize there houses and scare them as hell. We not gonna win this by legal long term activistisch. Just scare them and make them wanne move, fucking idiots.
And don't think these electric bikes are gonna help. We have to deal here with these real fucking whiners. They will whining about everything, they will find a new way. Isn't it sound than its dust or mud or these threes. Or these animals will suffer or they let them unique animal out there and say look its amazing all activities has to stop right away it will damaged nature. They just don't want these sports out there and don't give us. I mean look at your television and see these programs where people complaining about the smallest sounds an things, its just real sad.
Sissies are taking over this world in a hurry.
sorry if my English isn't right and don't be to serious, still think its the truth and hope they all die
