Although there has been some difficulties here and there, I believe for his first ever bit in the booth he performed great.
It will be good to see his continual progression and if tonight was a look into the future I'm completely on board. great conversations tonight.

I have been a RC fan since I was 5 years old but after this season I’d like to see him back trackside announcing

Have him and Blair switch places and get rid of Ralph and bring in either Langston or JWag. Please I’m begging you to please get rid of Wil. She is terrible.

Unfortunately, over 17 weeks, Ricky just didn’t improve. He just can’t get his words out, mixes up two different expressions and mashes them together etc
Time for someone new

Imagine being away from your family for 29 weekends a year? Can’t expect grant or weege to jump on board to do SX as well. Ricky’s just not cut out to be an announcer. If only he would focus more on the technical aspects and leave the hype to Ralph. I’m sure the switch to NBC didn’t help either. The overall production has been shit. What was that camera view coming out from the over under last night?

Hate to be a whiner, but I'm gonna whine about all the whiners hating on the GOAT. Did a fine job as far as I'm concerned and hope he's back next year.

Back in the day we had Jacky Stewart and Ms Jenner doing the announcing for the USGP...good times!

Weege wanted the gig and still does, he’s at most SX races anyhow.

Wonder why his comments are turned off on his last Instagram post asking the fans what they thought of his first year in the booth.

He just isn't the right fit imo. im a fan of his and it bums me out to feel like im in the hater group for saying that but that is my opinion and he has been doing the position Daniel Blair did this year for x amount of years, so doesn't that count? Is it still his first year?
RC Awsome pro Rider.
Weege Awsome pro , pro motocross announcer.

Las Vegas round was just so bad to listen. When he was in the zone for Webb taking title he could not get anything out from mouth than same line again and again. For sure... Tomac.. For sure..

I’m the complete opposite, I thought he did much better this year than previously, like he hired an announcing coach or something. Most of the annoying mannerisms are gone and his thoughts are more concise.

These are the same dumb $j@)@ fans who booed him when he went to Honda. Can't fix stupid. RC gave his best. Thank you RC. F all the complainers. I personally love his raw un polished style. He is genuine and knowledgeable. Unlike many racers this season HE DID NOT BUCKLE! RC IS A ROCK.

guys most of y'all probably do not remember when art echman started or Larry Myers, David Bailey couldn't hardly hear David speak in the beginning
they all struggled at first. hell look at Jeff emig, grant Langston would keep repeating what Jason said.
ricky is just fine and miles ahead of most of these mentioned the first year.

I wanted to see the good in Ricky but I realize that he just lacks the ability to articulate his insight, and when he does his insight just isn't very good. Compare and contrast that with a guy like Ciancarulo, whose interview last night was probably the best I've ever seen in sports.

I’m just over it and the critiquing of it. Not going to care anymore. Is what is is. He does focus too much on drama and hype and needs to stick to technical aspects and parts of racing and teams and little tid bits fans don’t know that only someone of his caliber would know. That would be interesting.
I’m there for the racing anyways so I’m over it.

I'd like to see them mix it up and bring in different color guys for a couple races each...and please ditch the nascar guys.
Take your pick
RC
Baily
Hannah
Marty smith
Fro
Blair
Matthes
Wege
Ping
GL
The other thing they must do is fill the fucking dead time with "ANYTHING" Go out and interview a fan, or rider, maybe a mechanic, manager.
Talk to the mapping guy about set up, suspension guy ...anything....for fucks sake.
Walk the camera through the pits and video bike bling, or the inside of a rig maybe talk to a driver.
Jesus, that's an easy thing to do and it would be great entertainment for everyone watching.
You would think these butt heads in charge of million dollar operation would have the foresight to fill dead time.
We-all here a pretty much glued to the screen, but those that are not as hard core....3 to 4 minutes of dead time, you loose them. And I have witnessed this with....someone watching in our group said.."is it over"...." what else is on"
"So aaaa how about them bears"
Get it together NBC

I thought he was especially bad last night. He was rambling a lot and repeating dumb phrases like Tomac can't leave anything on the table. He was a great racer but it is obvious he is not the brightest bulb in the box. Time to go, Emig was better.

I'd love to see Ping and Emig on there. They have the voice, the lingo, the attention span, are excited, passionate and energizing.

It has been a bad first year. But Ralph hasn't helped him out either. Ralph, Ricky and the production crew has underperformed. Ricky is new so i guess you could argue that he needs more time (i'm not arguing that but some might) but that doesn't apply for Ralph who is a veteran at this job.

Will Christien and Daniel Blair are the only ones that comes out of the season with a good grade.

Blair and him need to swap.

Having titles doesn't mean shit in terms of being a conversationalist, insight or point of view... I'd rather listen to Matthes, Weege, Langston, Emig, Windham, MC or Blair than RC. It doesn't mean he's not a badass, nor diminish what he's done, he's just not a natural talker.

Fuck, they'll be shoe-horning Dungey in there next.
