The thing I hate is the online play. It takes 20 minutes just to get into a match! It's so dumb. Only takes 2 minutes to get into a COD match. I hate wasting 20 minutes just trying to get into an online race

I give up years ago trying to race anything thing online. Once you do get in a race you start with 10 racers by the end of lap one you are down to 3 by the end of the race you generally by yourself.

fuckin quitters

It's pretty sad to see how many less "likes" and "shares" Milestone now gets on their games. If this was SX1 or even SX2 we would of had 2-3 pages on Vital of people discussing it within the hour of any media release.

Free whips in SX aren't as big as deal outdoors...but even with their jump scaling if you could whip it would be completely pointless. Hopefully there are some big changes for this next game. Unfortunately with such a small time frame in between MXGP2019 and this I can't see it happening.

I personally skipped: MXGP Pro, MES2, and MXGP 19, and now MES 3 and MXGP20 and MES 4 and MXGP21-2055

QUIT RELEASING SO MANY DAMN GAMES.

Be interesting to see where the THQ nordic take over steers this....could be great, could be horrific.

Just keep complaining until Milestone is fed up and won't produce any more MX/SX games. It's such a niche sport, it's amazing we get a new game every year. But yeah...keep complaining about every detail that is missing until you can't complain anymore because there is no new game to complain about.

I play MES2 and yes it isn't the most realistic game, it isn't a simulator, but I do have a kick ass time when I play it!! So I'll keep buying them and supporting one of the only companies putting the hours in to give us something!!

Sad that MXGP 1-3 they were making great progress with each release but since MESX 1, they've taken the EA sports games route and made small/minor updates each year. Went from making leaps forward to small side-steps. Hopefully this one is different but I highly doubt it.

I stopped at Pro and vowed to not give them another cent for their copy / paste jobs. It's getting pathetic at this point.

Right, I do not get why people get mad when we say this. I gave them 250$ of my money, not like I did not support them. Last football game I owned was NCAA 2014, despite 6 years of madden. NBA 2k same story. It is an industry-wide problem.

So much this. THQ buying Milestone may actually be a great thing for the MESX and MXGP games, in terms of physics, etc.

I think Milestone will be able to make the games better since they have been acquired!

To clear up any confusion for someone who has no idea what we’re talking about, THQ Nordic is a publisher, while Milestone(MXGP, MESX) and Rainbow Studios(MX vs ATV) are the developers. An analogy to that is that THQ Nordic is the record label, while Milestone and Rainbow are the bands. The games are made by the developers and THQ Nordic just helps fund and deliver the games. So the milestone and MX vs ATV games are still going to be made apart from each other by two completely different development teams.

The topic of MESX3, I’m honestly not really excited for it. It’ll more than likely be copy and paste, but hopefully with Milestone being acquired by THQ Nordic, they’ll have more money and resources to make a better game. Only time will tell.

the problem is they are trying too hard to be realistic, someone needs to go back to the just pure fun of mcm2 / early mx atv games, screw the physics.

What kills these games for me is the lack of content. MES2 was awesome. Just got so bored with tracks and customs are al the same after a while, wish they could smooth out transitions and allow better customization. Between MES 1 and 2 I didn’t see a great deal of advancements to the editor as I was hoping for. I personally think MES 1 custom tracks played a lot better then they did on 2.

i think a lot of the reason people don’t enjoy games the way they did “back then” is because no one has a genuine brand new experience with the gameplay. gone are the days where you put the cd in the console and play the game, seeing everything for the first time, and having a raw first experience and impression of the game.

nowadays we have gameplay after gameplay on youtube that everyone sees months in advance, many times of goons playing the game, and whether people know it or not, those first impressions have a major impact on how they interpret the game for themselves. add in all the negative comments in the comment section. people start to see things they wouldn’t normally “see” because some hater decides to bag on some aspect of the game. i mean this is the society we live in now. everything is an echo chamber and many people don’t have their own pure thoughts, they just follow the crowd and what they say.

the way people hate on All Out but absolutely love McM and other past games doesn’t make any sense other than because of nostalgia from that raw pure experience they had on their own. you can’t complain and hate All Outs turning and say you love mcm. that logic doesn’t make sense.

if you want to argue that milestone makes game after game with minimal changes..... ok. but we have got to stop acting like the games we have now are so horrible. i still think All Out is the best console game made to date. the bottom line is, we have to stop acting like this is the end of the word, the future of moto gaming is going to be epic as long as we continue to support the two companies making the games.

I have always wished they would remaster that game for newer consoles and pc. Just everything about it is a blast!

I think the big reason why people can go back and still be hooked on those games is because there's so many tracks. And all the tracks were awesome. The playability and having all the different rhythm lane options is what made it great.

I picked up MES 2 last night for the first time in a couple months. The lag in the steering was real frustrating to get the hang of again, but it didn't take that long. Just an annoyance. But then i was reminded of the unpredictability of jumping. Leaning forward on a jump face makes you jump further in most instances as opposed to leaning back. Which is odd. I'm not sure what the change was from MES to MES 2, but the jumping and going through rhythm sections took a big hit for me.

Of course we all remember the insane fun we had with MCM2 and Reflex but those are just memories & emotions. MCM2 is not even close to MES2, and Reflex although is still very fun, was so limited that we were all left hanging as
a refined Reflex 2 never happened.

MES2 is not easy to learn, takes serious time and effort and you often learn after many hours of game play the correct way to do this or that. And along with the great visuals makes it in my opinion THE best, SX game ever made.

Things I like.

1). You can drastically effect the way the bike maneuvers by using your body positioning and weighting. This effects all areas of the experience from whoops, to rhythms, to cornering etc. You really have to RIDE the bike and not just gas and steer.

2). Unlike all other games this has the most realistic ride-ability dynamics. Launching 200 feet to flat does not usually work, over jumping and under jumping costs you time in rhythms etc. forcing you to time stuff right which is what SX is all about.

3). The bar banging action is very very good.

Things I wish they'd change.

1). In order to really initiate a turn (specially tight ones) you have to steer the opposite direction first. This needs to go. Can we just get a bike that steers normally?

2). The scrub maneuver is a joke. They need to give us real control like turn downs on the face of a jump, whips etc.

3). Give us real throttle and clutch control. If we gas it from a stand still that bike should be RIPPING the rear tire instead of it hesitating slowly up to speed.

Looking forward to MES3.
