fuckin quitters
Free whips in SX aren't as big as deal outdoors...but even with their jump scaling if you could whip it would be completely pointless. Hopefully there are some big changes for this next game. Unfortunately with such a small time frame in between MXGP2019 and this I can't see it happening.
QUIT RELEASING SO MANY DAMN GAMES.

To clear up any confusion for someone who has no idea what we’re talking about, THQ Nordic is a publisher, while Milestone(MXGP, MESX) and Rainbow Studios(MX vs ATV) are the developers. An analogy to that is that THQ Nordic is the record label, while Milestone and Rainbow are the bands. The games are made by the developers and THQ Nordic just helps fund and deliver the games. So the milestone and MX vs ATV games are still going to be made apart from each other by two completely different development teams.
The topic of MESX3, I’m honestly not really excited for it. It’ll more than likely be copy and paste, but hopefully with Milestone being acquired by THQ Nordic, they’ll have more money and resources to make a better game. Only time will tell.
Hell yeah
nowadays we have gameplay after gameplay on youtube that everyone sees months in advance, many times of goons playing the game, and whether people know it or not, those first impressions have a major impact on how they interpret the game for themselves. add in all the negative comments in the comment section. people start to see things they wouldn’t normally “see” because some hater decides to bag on some aspect of the game. i mean this is the society we live in now. everything is an echo chamber and many people don’t have their own pure thoughts, they just follow the crowd and what they say.
the way people hate on All Out but absolutely love McM and other past games doesn’t make any sense other than because of nostalgia from that raw pure experience they had on their own. you can’t complain and hate All Outs turning and say you love mcm. that logic doesn’t make sense.
if you want to argue that milestone makes game after game with minimal changes..... ok. but we have got to stop acting like the games we have now are so horrible. i still think All Out is the best console game made to date. the bottom line is, we have to stop acting like this is the end of the word, the future of moto gaming is going to be epic as long as we continue to support the two companies making the games.

I picked up MES 2 last night for the first time in a couple months. The lag in the steering was real frustrating to get the hang of again, but it didn't take that long. Just an annoyance. But then i was reminded of the unpredictability of jumping. Leaning forward on a jump face makes you jump further in most instances as opposed to leaning back. Which is odd. I'm not sure what the change was from MES to MES 2, but the jumping and going through rhythm sections took a big hit for me.
a refined Reflex 2 never happened.
MES2 is not easy to learn, takes serious time and effort and you often learn after many hours of game play the correct way to do this or that. And along with the great visuals makes it in my opinion THE best, SX game ever made.
Things I like.
1). You can drastically effect the way the bike maneuvers by using your body positioning and weighting. This effects all areas of the experience from whoops, to rhythms, to cornering etc. You really have to RIDE the bike and not just gas and steer.
2). Unlike all other games this has the most realistic ride-ability dynamics. Launching 200 feet to flat does not usually work, over jumping and under jumping costs you time in rhythms etc. forcing you to time stuff right which is what SX is all about.
3). The bar banging action is very very good.
Things I wish they'd change.
1). In order to really initiate a turn (specially tight ones) you have to steer the opposite direction first. This needs to go. Can we just get a bike that steers normally?
2). The scrub maneuver is a joke. They need to give us real control like turn downs on the face of a jump, whips etc.
3). Give us real throttle and clutch control. If we gas it from a stand still that bike should be RIPPING the rear tire instead of it hesitating slowly up to speed.
Looking forward to MES3.
