Tyla is a lower top 10 fellow, if you had thrown in Stijbos and Jeremy and a healthy Searle then you have Tyla on a good day at his predicted lower top 10, simple. No cleaning up necessary, only retirement while there is some respect available.

I don't care what type of fan you are, but if you don't watch the GP's because RV isn't riding, then you're clearly more of a fanboy/patriot than you are a fan of moto. Your actions speak way louder than your words.

I have nothing against that, but you're missing out on some top quality moto purely because you need one of your countrymen to cheer on. With only 2 top outdoor series in the sport, ignoring one of them for this reason is pretty weird IMO. Your choice though...

Not really bro. They are still gonna line up and drop the gate, same as any other weekend.

I am bummed for RV ( not being a fan at all ) and I hope he keeps going after he heals up, but it's not like he was setting the world on fire over there. He was just another very fast guy in a group of very fast guys.

If you stop following MXGP cause he is out then you are not a fan of the sport, you are a fan of a rider.......

So, you're saying only the top predicted 6-8 guys should bother lining up and everybody else from Tyla's predicted position on back should just retire along with him? Oooookay, makes perfect sense to me. Hell, why bother even running the races? Just award points for the season based on "predictions". Whistling

You forget there is a Merican who has been there 2 years banging it out in the trenches and no one in Merica has a civil word of respect for the guy. The RV pedestal you built crumbles and Covington is left to fend for himself, you are a shameful herd.

What the hell are you actually talking about?!? Huh

"Flavor" of moto?? "Brand" of moto??

You either like watching motocross. Or you don't. That's as pretty frickin simple as that.

If you don't, or won't, watch a series because a certain rider isn't there, you are a fan of the rider....not the sport of moto. Get it?

This brand and flavor stuff is just bullshit

Many upcoming young talents in the mix who have a future, Tyla doesn't,simple. He is only a lower top 10 at best trying to make a living on past achievements and not a bright future for any top team, again I don't see Tyla lasting more than a couple of more GPs with his track record, not my fault just a reality/

This MAY be the dumbest "discussion" I have had on this forum. Pinch

OK, ok, you and ChrisB10 can go and enjoy your special "flavor" of motocross, have fun.

I'm out of this silliness. Gonna go watch the MXGP highlights on the homepage, cause you know why? I like watching motocross.

Either you people are fucking stupid or just like to play ignorant. RV is a multi champion national hero we've been watching on TV and following his career for years. We have time invested in watching him ride our AMA tracks in our country. The very tracks many of us ride on the weekends and see our hometown pros on regular occasion. Many folks prior to this GP season ever gave a shit about the GPs. Not because it's not valid series, but because it's on the other side of the world, the coverage was shit in the US and thus we had no vested interest in any of the GP riders. Many of us have a vested interest in RV and his swan song in the GPs, that doesn't mean we're instant fans of everything GP. There is not one thing wrong with that.

The same hold true for Covington. He came over as an amateur starting his pro career there. We've never once watched him race in our pro nationals and just because your a fan of professional AMA Moto doesn't mean someone follows amateur careers. Therefore the interest in Covington is minimal.

Do I respect the GP riders..yes, do I like the different tracks...yes, do I enjoy the fact that RV is racing the GPs...yes, but that sure as shit doesn't mean I'm all of a sudden a die hard GP fan.

US motocross is the RV pedestal,if RV can't do it then it's not motocross. Build the pedestal and they will come mentality. It must be a complete melt down when the US icon let's down the herd and there's no one left to worship but GP icons who don't need pedestals built in their honor.

All this coming from an " America " who lives in California? You have got to be the biggest dipshit this board has seen in quite some time. Totally disregard everything former world champs have said about coming over here and racing this series. You're nothing but a clueless idiot and it will be a great day that you finally get your account banned from here. People like you are the ones that stir the shit between the American fan base and the GP fan base. Did it ever dawn on you that they are BOTH a motocross series. Moto is moto......maybe you'll learn one day to appreciate both. Haha....fucking Californian acting like he's some GP analysis guru , fucking clown.

As a Australian I never watched MXGP until RV started racing. and TBH I prefer watching MXGP over the AMA series but I will still watch all forms of high level motocross, I loved watching the 125's at GP too.

Herlings is a fucking monster I'm fairly sure he is close to being the best rider in the world, I havent seen such raw talent since James Stewart.

Perhaps if all the RV nut huggers had assumed their position, Ryan would have had enough padding in his boxers to be able to ride through the pain of a broken coccyx.Wink Laughing Laughing

The fact that they come on here to boast about how they wont watch this past weekend any coverage of the GP's because he's injured just goes to show what small minded so called fans they really are!
Well all you numbnutsUnsure , you missed one of the most exciting GP's of the year, the pure poetry of Paulin on his Honda and the masterclass from Herlings, made all the better when he had to charge through the field in moto 2, plus the Dutch rounds always attract some of the hottest women spectatorsKissing Kissing , something the camera guys like to focus on between races!

The ones that did watch thought Paulin's race gear fashion was outstanding...plus he also rode pretty good which made his race gear look even better.

If you read my subsequent post I clarified that I meant it was awfully quiet on this board. The racing was far from dull.

I think Rob was referring to Vital , not the race itself , great GP, the boy went , i had to spend the weekend on a Cumbrian mountain , was up till 1 am watching it when i got back.

Props to Febvre for leading , and Adam Sterry for the red plate in EMX250

sorry, i didn't read further... it looked like it turned into a typical RV slag-fest

but when you do mathematical equations, the answer doesn't normally refer to something completely different and it's a shame that people who see the title and the first post will immediately think that the GP sucked, when in fact it was awesome

We've got plenty of "dogs in the fight" Simpson, Searle, Anstie, Watson, Sterry, Gregory etc.to name a few.
Just wait till Matterley basin MXGP next month to see the brit fans turn out to cheer them on and also support RV , Tony, Max, Clemente, Gautier and all!

Simpson not in the Fight.. Searle not in the fight, Anstie not in the fight?

That's your problem , everything has to be a fight , and if you cant win , you go home grizzling like a little girl with wet knickers , and then pretend it doesn't matter.

The fact is your dog crashed like a rookie on a 65 , and just like him , you are all Butthurt.
